Op deze dag neemt u de kogeltrein van Beijing naar Qinghuangdao, een havenstad aan de kust van China in de noordoostelijke provincie Hebei. Je bezoekt de beroemde attracties Old Dragon's Head (Laolongtou), Shanhaiguan Pass (eerste pas onder de hemel), Shanhaiguan Gate Tower, Great Wall Museum, Jiaoshan Great wall (alleen als de tijd het toelaat) en Old Town. Lunch, toegangsprijs, privégids en transferservice zijn all-inclusive.

Nadat je je vroeg in de ochtend hebt opgehaald bij je hotel in Beijing, ga je met je privégids naar het treinstation van Beijing en neem je de sneltrein naar Qinghuangdao City met inbegrepen tickets (een reis van 2 uur). Bij aankomst bezoekt u eerst Old Dragon's Head in Laolongtou, het meest oostelijke uiteinde van de Grote Muur, waar de muur uitsteekt in de Bohai Zee. Dit gedeelte werd voor het eerst gebouwd in de Ming-dynastie, in 1579, en werd grotendeels gerepareerd tijdens de Qing-dynastie, in 1668.
Vervolg je tour naar de beroemde Shanhaiguan Pass (Shanhai Pass), bekend als de 'First Pass Under Heaven'. De goed bewaarde eerste poort van de Grote Muur, het maakte deel uit van een belangrijke verdediging tegen indringers door de nomaden uit het noorden. Je kunt de Shanhaiguan Gate Tower zien en het nabijgelegen Great Wall Museum bezoeken.

I spent a wonderful day with Nancy visiting the initial part of the Great Wall nad enjoyed every minute of it. The day started with a ride on a high speed train whitch is an experience by itself and then going to the fascinating Wall.

We wanted to see where the Great Wall meets the sea. This tour was a perfect day trip from Beijing. Our tour guide Maggie was friendly, fun, and very knowledgeable. Her English is very good, and she was an efficient timekeeper so we were able to see the Old Dragon’s Head, climb the Great Wall, and visit the shanhaiguan pass, and still make the high speed train back to Beijing. She took pictures for us and helped us order an excellent lunch at a local restaurant known for its dumplings which were made on the spot. We couldn’t have asked for more.
It was different, but takes to long to get there and back. NO time there to do everything the add says. The guide was very good at her job and fun. Had to take the regular train back, for some reason. Felt like I was cheated out of my money, by that. If you have money to throw away, and a whole day with nothing to do. Then take this trip.

The second, the bullet train tickets we bought for the way back was temporary changed to a regular train by the state. They told us it was only for Summer holiday 2 months. It never happened in the normal days. But also we won't buy this train anymore. It was a mistake. We also refund you for the bullet train problem. What a great day! Bullet train ride and the Great Wall. Excellent local lunch. Lots to see. Fantastic tour guide Sellina with help from Lisa our a driver Mr Ma. All very helpful and went out of their way to make the day great for us. Thank you all very much
<p>This really was a busy weekend in Beijing due to the holiday. Our trip on the train didn't start out well because no seats were available. However, our guide went above and beyond to do whatever it would take to get us something and she eventually succeeded. They picked us up on time at our hotel and dropped us off. It was a worthwhile trip and we had a great lunch also.</p>
We spend another great day with Lily. And we did not make it easy. We changed times, add a friend last minute and gave wrong passport details. Lily sailed through all of these issues and we had a great day. Despite it being freezing. Part of the wall was also closed because of fire risk. But again she had other potions and we could spend great time on the wall. Lunch was perfect and huge. Loved the bullet Train experience. Was my first. Thank you for everything Lily
