Very rarely do I write a bad review but in this case I need to so that others do not encounter what we did with Aussie Perth Tours. Wave rock and Hippos Yawn cave are awesome but the 4 hour drive each way was at times a 'White Knuckle' Ride in a 10 seater coach with inadequate air conditioning for an all day trip. However that is insignificant when you compare it to the driving standards of our male and female driver. On the way to Wave Rock, the 'sharing' drivers were going so fast and overtaking at breakneck speeds that we had to shut our eyes, especially when a 'Road Train' had to move off road into the dirt to avoid our coach. The speed was so high, I could not see the indicator on the speedometer, but I could see up to the 140 km/h mark. We had to screenshot Google maps to get a speed reading and a picture is included showing 134 km/h. On the return journey, the speed was again 120 km/h minimum for most of the non urban driving. Several times the vehicle drifted either over the centre white lines or int the dirt on the side of the road narrowly missing markers and barriers. Again, I have included a photo of the driver driving at 120 km/h. Other things to note about this tour: 1. It was impossible to hear the audio most of the time. We kept having to say, 'We cannot hear you'. Also their audio kept cutting out and the radio kept interrupting. 2. When we did hear the audio, it was monotone, bland and at times useless eg. 'Here is a train station that people can get on and off at', 'Here is a caravan park that people can stay at'. At times it was just pointing out the blooming obvious. 3. When joining the coach, there were no introductions or friendly welcome. There was no rapport with the drivers/tour hosts. 4. 35 degree heat plus, and the driver had his window open making the air conditioning for the people in the back ineffective. When asked to close the window we found out the air conditioning was useless leaving us all hot and sweaty for the day. 5. When asked about the air conditioning not being adequate, it was palmed off as, 'Sorry but it is a very hot day and coaches are not designed to cope with this excessive heat'. This is PERTH and it has excessive heat!!!
Had a fantastic tour with Fred and Fiona to the Wave Rock. Very knowledgeable and funny guides. Would highly recommend this tour company!
Everything was perfect. Very good driver and guide. Very kind people always at your disposal tò satisfy customers. Thanks you very much for your job
Gday Alberto - We appreciate your time to review your toue with us. Thanks for your positive review, highly appreciated. Have a great day
Local tour operator running smaller tours so if you want to avoid the big buses, this is the guide for you. Have a good selection of tours and are professional and flexible (I booked for 4 of the tours).
Gday Lois, Thanks for your remark here, much appreciated. Happy to note that you had a great time in Perth. Enjoy in the eastern states too & hope to provide our services to you or your friends soon.
The tour did not provide the included items which were listed . No guide/ live commentary. We were all confused where to go , how to plan to visit the wave rock ( all three main sections) so we missed yawing hippo and the wave rock out look. We just managed to visit the wave rocks and take photos. There were different item as National park on our included list to visit; never happened. If this was meant to be the area around wave rock , we definitely missed it as we did not know where to go. Not enough time given at the wave rock , it was suppose be 60 minutes at rocks , we had only 40 minutes , and no guide ! So we missed the main part of this trip. Terrible temperature/ aircon in the minibus , either too freezing cold or too hot to sweat ! Driver was 20 minutes late in morning, No call, or text, or any kind of communication just to let us know that he was going to be late . I was confused that he could have forgotten to pick up us . He had no single word as a simple apology. Not suitable for a tour driver ! We felt we were at a Trans Perth minibus! No voice , no musics, even no radio !! This tour was way too expensive with very low quality. I chose this only due to timing and date ; my daughter’s birthday. It was the worst ever trip we had. For such a long road trip , people get exhausted , this would be even much worse when you miss the main parts of the trip .and you only pay for a fruitless, expensive, tiring trip. Complete waste of time , money .
Gday Bita - thanks for your comments and we regretable read same. It is a long drive to the Wave rock with lots of Kilometres of open vast empty spaces, vast farms and regional beauty . For you group to have comfort a larger size vehicle was provided which has a great airconditioning system. We do not know where you got idea of a National park etc. The Wave rock is a unique rock formation, bilions of years old and time you had was as per your own viewing. There are no official Wave rock guides but our own person who shows you around. You would have viewed all points of the tour as is in itenieary including York, Corrigin, Dog cemetery, Kondinin etc Driver was having multi pickups on day and was delayed sadly to pick you up, for which we do apologise. Sadly due to copyright restrictions we cannot play recorded music in public buses. Radios are ok but they do not operate between regional regions too well. We have reviewed your note and will endeavour improvement for future.. Thanks for takingt ime to review. Have a great day
We enjoyed ourselves through out the journey with Kia. He was a great guide & very informative on Wave Rock & wild creatures as we saw them along the way ;) keep it up, Kia! Thanks for making this trip with great memories for all of us :)
Gday Rita - Thanks a lot for your positive comments for the Wave rock and our coach captain Kea. Great you saw lots on the way and enjoyed the Wave rock too. Have a great day
We took two different full-day tours of this company - to the Wave Rock and to the Margaret River. We really liked it. Good organization and communication with the guide. A few words about our amazing guide and driver. Kea is nice, knowledgeable, caring person. He took care of us during all the way. He told interesting stories from the life of both modern Western Australia and historical facts. He was happy to answer all our questions. He made our trips unforgettable. Thank you, Kea. We really appreciate your help and engagement.
Gday Variava - We thank you sincerely for your great comments and the good time you and your friends had on our two tours. Great to note that Kea, as usual, looked well after your group. Hope to see you all again in Perth some day soon . Have a great day
Interesting driver/guide. Trip very long and Wave Rock was perhaps too far for one day. About 1 hour late getting back. Otherwise an interesting trip.
Gday Lindsay Thanks for your comments. Much appreciated. Yes the Wave rock is a bit far, sadly we cannot do much for it, but hope you found the Wave Rock something unique and interesting, like no other in the world. Your trip was delayed back due to the major motor accident on the road. If we can assist in any manner do let us know. thanks for your time to comment, highly appreciated
Friends and I visited were on this tour on 14 November 2022. Our tour guide Kia was superb. He was very knowledgeable, kind, friendly and professional. He offered local Tim Tams and mint milk so that we could have a taste of local food. He volunteered himself to help with photo taken and even laid on ground to take better shots. He understands our needs and always allows sufficient time to visit each element while managing schedule. In order to keep us entertained, he was telling some interesting local stories and introduced some Western Aus music on this long trip. He also keeps seeking ways to improve any services for future guests. He was very impressive. We had a small hiccup with arrangement. The Aussis Perth Tour was very helpful in resolving the issue. I would recommend the Aussis Perth Tour to anyone who wants to see wave rock.
Gday Ying, thanks for your comments and great to know you had a great time on the tour. Appreciate you taking time out to write. Have a great day
