Historische rondleiding van een hele dag naar Jamestown en Yorktown met lunch

Dit is de historische driehoekstour. Reis met een local terug in de tijd en ook in chronologische volgorde. We zullen het eerste deel van onze dag in de 17e eeuw doorbrengen en de tweede helft in de 18e eeuw. Dit is waar het land begon, je zult de geschiedenis zien en leren van een local. We beginnen onze dag in Jamestown, begin 1607, met een rondleiding. Onze lunchstop is de volgende in het café dat eigendom is van een lokaal restaurant, waar we een inbegrepen maaltijd zullen nuttigen, die indien gewenst in koloniale stijl kan zijn. Na de lunch reizen we de 18e eeuw in met een slagveldtour en eindigen we bij het Revolutionary War Museum.

Jamestown is waar de Engelsen in 1607 arriveerden. We zullen in het eerste deel van onze dag meer te weten komen over de geschiedenis van 1600. We krijgen een rondleiding van 1 uur en 1 uur vrije tijd.
De lunch zal plaatsvinden in het café dat eigendom is van een lokaal familierestaurant, waar we indien gewenst een maaltijd in koloniale stijl of een meer traditionele maaltijd kunnen nuttigen. Er zijn dieetopties beschikbaar
Het Yorktown War Museum geeft uitleg over het leven in de 18e eeuw tijdens de Revolutionaire Oorlog. We zullen een gedeeltelijke rondleiding krijgen, evenals vrije tijd om op eigen gelegenheid te verkennen.
In Yorktown Battlefield zal in 1781 het leger van George Washington de strijd aangaan met het leger van de Britse generaal Lord Cornwallis. We krijgen een rondleiding door een deel van het slagveld met een paar fotostops.

We had a wonderful time on the Yorktown-Jamestown tour on 07/08/2026. Our guide, Matt, was terrific, blending local history (he is a native of the historic triangle of VA), personal anecdotes, and humor that made the trip one of the best we have ever experienced. Hats off to Viator! We are glad to have had the opportunity to offer our 15-yr-old grandson (and his Dad) the chance to share this with us. We will definitely be seeking out Viator tours (this was our first) as we travel to other parts of the country in years to come. Thanks so much for a great time!
Jamestown one full day and one full day for Yorktown. Providing lunch was a real treat! Our driver JOHN WAS EXCEPTIONAL. Very knowledgeable of local history and he pointed out things we might have missed without a guide. Hie is very personable and has agreat sense of humor!

The confirmed trip was cancelled due to inconvenoence for the provider. When i have travelled across the country the tour it is not satisfactory although the refund was quickly approved. Care to refubd air fare and lodging (rhetorical)?
We had such an amazing, fun, interesting, history filled day! Matt did a great job of covering all the main points, keeping us entertained, driving us all over and providing us with a wonderful lunch! This tour is a MUST DO!
The tour guide/bus driver was knowledgeable and personable. He was very able and recommendable.
The bus tour is long however the day goes fast! You learn a lot and get a great idea of the area and the history. The lunch stop was good and you have some free time at the different locations to see what you want, use the facilities, gift shops etc. It is a nice blend of tour guide and explore time. The brand new bus is comfortable and gorgeous! The guide is extremely well educated and works hard to keep any kids/teens engaged in the day.
The tour was both a real learning experience as well as really enjoyable. This was due to our guide. It was a real pleasure spending the day with him and our group.
This was a very interesting experience getting to see about the colonial life and visiting all of the experience. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and kept things very interesting and interactive for all of us. The colonial lunch was also a great experience. We loved every moment of our tour.
I was told by the ticket agent at Jamestown that trying to do Jamestown and Yorktown in one day is difficult. I found it was very doable because of the Viator package, transportation and lunch. This is a bargain. The guide was a local whose family has lived in the area for many generations.
