The self guided walking tour was a great way to see the city. I especially enjoyed knowing we were in the middle of the city but it felt like a walk in the woods!
Great self guided tour. Interesting facts about the city and a good pace for learning about the history if the city and its main points of interest.
The tour was a little tricky to access at first, but that may well have been me. Once we did have access, we thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Inverness. The tour could be paused and played at our pace. The directions were easy to follow, and there were plenty of little anecdotes along the journey to keep us entertained. The route kept close to the 2 sides of the river, and was a modest length - neither too long or too short - taking in some lovely buildings and parkland. A great way to get a taste of the city.
Nice option for city tour. Walk at your own pace, the city is beautiful. Weather was perfect, beautiful. Not a difficult walk.
It is clear and easy to follow. It includes information and stories to make the way more interesting. I used it throughout 2 days so as to stop along the way whenever I felt like it.
Liked being able to follow the tour at our own pace. Information shared was interesting and informative. Only negative is that the Inverness castle is closed until 2025 but the audio hasn’t been updated. We worked around it but since the castle has been closed since 2021 it could have been updated.
Very diversified information provided, very useful to be introduced to Inverness. One single regret: while the castle is still under restoration hence not accessible, the audioguide was not updated accordingly.
The audio tour is found on Getyourguide and was very good. We were able to split it up over a couple of days. There is lots of walking, but it's mostly level and somewhat shaded. Beautiful scenery along the Ness. We were a group of 4, so we just bought the one package and shared to instead of separate headphones. There was construction at the cathedral downtown and that messed up the directions a bit but we eventually found our way. This was better than some other tours because we could go at our pace and stop along the way for shopping or eating, etc.
It was easy to follow at your own pace. We split the tour up and it did not feel rude to walk away. I wish this was available in more areas.
The tour goes at your own pace - even tells you when you go off course. This route is simple, but part of the course was closed. We could still listen to the commentary, and picked it up at the next point. An interesting tour.
