Je bezoekt ook Penang Hill, waar je een kabelbaan naar zijn top op 833 meter boven de zeespiegel zult nemen om te genieten van een spectaculair panoramisch uitzicht op Georgetown en het vasteland van Butterworth. Koloniale bungalows zijn te vinden rond deze heuvel, omdat de Britten de voorkeur geven aan een koeler klimaat in vergelijking met de warme en vochtige omgeving in de stad.
Daarna bezoekt u de Kek Lok Si-tempel. Gebouwd in 1891 als een klein heiligdom, is het sindsdien uitgegroeid tot een van de meest majestueuze en grootste tempels in Zuidoost-Azië. Sinds de oprichting in 1930 wordt de 'Pagode van de Tienduizend Boeddha's' beschouwd als een van Penang's mooiste architectonische wonderen, omdat het 3 culturen in één structuur kan verwerken: Chinese achthoekige basis, Thaise middelste laag en Birmese kroon. Een bronzen standbeeld van 30,2 m Guan Yin - Goddess of Mercy werd in 2002 op het hoogste punt van de tempel gebouwd. Het is te bereiken via een hellende lift in het midden.

We were very disappointed. Wasn’t the tour we were expecting. Was self touring which we could done it way much cheaper than paying $99.00 US dollars. It was very expensive tour in Australian dollars cost us $315.00. It was a mistake decision to book this tour, didn’t enjoy it at all. Also weather was awful as well that made it worse. I don’t know why has a boat picture to confuse people? The communication was very bad too.

This small group tour was the perfect way to spend the day in Penang. The driver/guide picked us up across from the port entrance and we passed several sites as we traveled to Penang Hill. After some explanation of what we would see, we were given free time to ride the funicular to the too to explore on our own. Next we toured Kek Lok Su Temple on our own, again after being given some facts. We prefer to tour in this manner, with time to explore what interests us and away from a group and a chatty guide. We also stopped at a batik shop and still had time to wander Georgetown before the ship departed.

Had a wonderful trip with Kris our driver and tour guide. Highlight was the railway. Super speedy tickets cut right through the very long queues. Also the temples. Kris was very knowledgeable, extremely pleasant and funny! We had a great day. Would highly recommend

The drive/guide was personable, knowledgeable, and spoke good English. The temple and hiking at the top of the lift were the most memorable.
Enjoyed having driver and car and the Penang Hill Funicular railway. However, traffic around Georgetown was very heavy. Also, sorry,. but for us 3 Temples was too many. Would have preferred another attraction to fill the time - Butterflies for instance. Sam was helpful and took us to a local restaurant for lunch which was tremendous value and tasty. Thank you, Sam

We loved every moment of this tour! Aldrin was a wonderful guide who deserves 10 stars. He made sure we saw the sights specific to the tour, plus others of interest that we never would have known about or had time to see. He was knowledgeable, kind, well-prepared and considerate of my husband and me. Penang is a wonderful place with so many beautiful sites. We loved the various temples, Kek Lok Si, the funicular, the old town and murals...I could go on and on. Aldrin went above and beyond for us, and assured we had a great visit to Penang.
