Rondreisopties
Reisroute

Beautiful island, worth the trip. The guide and driver were very knowledgeable, and the trip was well organized. We truly enjoyed our excursion. I would have love to have more time at the Garajonay Park for a short hike, but we were given only 30 minutes total. The food portions are small.
Hello Maryi, Thank you very much for your lovely review! 😊 We're delighted that you enjoyed discovering the beauty of La Gomera and that our guide and driver helped make your day so enjoyable. We appreciate your suggestions regarding more time at Garajonay National Park, but since there is so much to see in one day, and so much time required on the road, we cannot allocate any more time, to make it on time to catch the ferry back to Tenerife. We thank you for your comments about the lunch portions and will share them with our restaurant partner as part of our ongoing commitment to improving our tours, and hope to welcome you back soon for another unforgettable adventure in the Canary Islands! 🌿🌴
long day and lots of time on the bus but a beautiful island and national forest to visit. good to experience but could have done with more stops and smaller bus with smaller group Vip depends what you want you get on first and you have your own part of the ferry and something to eat in with it on the ferry so depends what your after for if it’s worth doing vip or not
Thank you very much for your wonderful review! We're delighted that you enjoyed discovering the beauty of La Gomera, with its lush forests, breathtaking landscapes and rich history 😊 As you mentioned, we also offer a VIP option with a smaller vehicle, allowing access to places that larger coaches cannot reach, as well as a more personalised experience with additional stops and services. While it comes at a higher price, whether it's worth the extra cost depends on each traveller's preferences. We're delighted to know you recognised that both options offer a fantastic way to experience this beautiful island ✨
From the pickup to the end, everything was perfectly organized. Very pleasant trip, plenty of time everywhere, and delicious lunch.
Good evening, and thank you very much for your wonderful review!✨ We at Atlántico Excursiones are delighted to hear your kind words and to know that you enjoyed the experience, while getting a gist of our Canarian cuisine. La Gomera is truly a remarkable island, renowned for its lush forests, breathtaking landscapes, and rich history linked to Christopher Columbus’ voyages. We sincerely hope to welcome you back soon for another unforgettable adventure in Tenerife and the Canary Islands 😊🌴🚍🌋
Apart from being given the wrong pickup point in all communications from booking until the day before and being sent my pickup point by text on the morning of the trip. It was great. The guide and the driver was really goid. We had plenty of stops for photos and the 3 course lunch was lovely.
Hello Steve, thank you very much for such an amazing review of our tour. We have checked our booking system and a confirmation email was sent to you on the 7th of Feb, the day you booked the tour, with the correct pickup information, but we understand this may have landed in your spam box, hence the confusion. Regarding the tour in itself and the lunch, we will certainly pass your kind words to our team, and we look forward to welcoming you again soon for another great experience around this beautiful island of Tenerife! 😊
I thoroughly enjoyed this trip; La Gomera is beautiful (you do need to love nature and… heights), but the same goes for our guide Ildefonso (a true Canarian, born and bred here, who speaks perfect English): probably the best guide I’ve ever had on a sightseeing tour!! 🖤 A genuinely lovely and kind man, with a wealth of interesting knowledge and a (truly brilliant) sense of humour, but you can also constantly sense his sincere love for this region and for his job; his background is unknown but he looks truly cut out for this job; it was a delight from the very first moment to the very last. He also has a sort of ‘fatherly’ concern for the group of tourists in his care. In a word, I think he’s a ‘natural’. I have done several excursions in this region but never had a guide like Ildefonso (I hope I spell his name correctly and I would have loved to tip him when we said goodbye, but unfortunately he quickly left the bus earlier than I did when we were back in Tenerife). Not to mention: the bus driver who drove us all day long along those dangerously high cliffs – huge respect for this bloke! Lunch was included and was typical local lunch: not bad! and the restaurant was pretty nice too (I've seen much worse!!) In short; I enjoyed this tour and I am not easily satisfied! 🫣🤭
Thank you so much for your wonderful and heartfelt review! 🖤 We are absolutely delighted to hear how much you enjoyed discovering the beauty of La Gomera and that Ildefonso made such a special impression on you. Your kind words about his knowledge, humour, passion and care for the group truly mean a lot, and we will make sure he receives your lovely comments. We also greatly appreciate your recognition of our driver’s incredible work on those challenging roads, as well as your positive remarks about the local lunch. Knowing that someone “not easily satisfied” enjoyed the tour so much is the best compliment we could receive! 😊 We hope to welcome you again soon for another unforgettable adventure in the Canary Islands. 🌴✨
Our guide Ildefonso very good professional, always attentive to answer all our doubts about the island
This is *not* a tour—it’s a string of ads for Fred Olsen, with quick photo stops and constant pushes to buy food, drinks, and souvenirs. Even the “National Park” is just a brief walk to another snack bar. FYI: Puerto de la Cruz pickup was at 6:40am, off the ferry at 11—over half the 12-hour day is spent waiting or in transit. For an authentic experience, stay on Tenerife and visit Anaga. This was the most disappointing Viator I have ever taken. Save your money.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the experience did not meet your expectations. We would like to clarify that the itinerary is designed to show several key highlights in a single day, which naturally involves travel time and short stops at different locations. These stops are planned to give a varied overview of the destination rather than focusing on just one area. Regarding the mentions of promotions or optional services, these are always offered as additional choices for guests who wish to enhance their experience, but they are never mandatory. We understand that this type of excursion may not suit everyone, especially if you are looking for a slower or more in depth visit to a specific area. Your feedback is appreciated and helps us continue improving.
Good evening, we did not think that the excursion took place almost exclusively by bus with few stops to walk.
Cordiali saluti.
It was a bit difficult to keep track of when to listen when the guide spoke so many different languages. Otherwise nice trip with nice stops. A little cold up in the mountains so a bag with extra clothes is recommended.

For past 20 years we have been saying let’s visit La Gomera, it is time to go home and we say “next time”. So this year we decided to finally bite the bullet and travel to see what we believed would be a special island. Pick up, bus transfer and ferry went smoothly. We arrived in La Gomera and were ushered into the waiting b bus. From La Gomera we spent an hour climbing up a hill with twists and turns, stopping once for photos and then we arrive at a restaurant. A typical Spanish meal was served which took about an hour and we listen to a man whistle. Personally I would have preferred to see the island as the meal wasn’t great. We were given 40mins to walk around the restaurant area going round in circles and seeing nothing but overgrowth and trees. Onto the bus and to an UNESCO site On a road wide enough for one small car let alone a bus. At a hairpin bend our bus met a bus coming the other way and I’ve no idea how both busses passed with a shear drop on one side. It wasn’t an enjoyable ride. Into the UNESCO site and we climbed steps to a viewing gallery and saw some mountains. We then climbed back down and had a coffee. Back on the bus, one further stop for pictures and to San Sebastián which is a ghost town. We decided to leave the town and sit at the sea front. Glad I ticked off La Gomera but what a let down!
Thank you very much for sharing your experience and for finally deciding to visit La Gomera after having it in mind for so many years. We are pleased to know that the pick-up, bus transfer and ferry crossing went smoothly. In fact, the ferry journey is one of the highlights of this excursion, as it offers spectacular views of both Tenerife and La Gomera from the sea, giving visitors a unique perspective of the islands. During the excursion you can also experience the Silbo Gomero, which is recognised by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. This whistled language is a unique tradition of the island that for centuries allowed locals to communicate across deep valleys and long distances. Regarding the trees and natural surroundings you mentioned, they form part of Garajonay National Park, which is also declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park protects one of the best preserved examples of laurel forest (laurisilva), a subtropical type of forest that covered large areas of southern Europe millions of years ago during the Tertiary period and today survives in only a few places in the world. La Gomera is also one of the least populated islands in the Canary Islands, which is why many of its towns and villages are small and quiet. They are certainly not ghost towns, but rather peaceful communities with a low population density and a more traditional pace of life. As for the roads, they are narrow due to the mountainous and volcanic geography of the island, which is precisely what creates its dramatic and impressive landscapes. These roads are used daily by buses and large vehicles. If they were not safe, we would simply not operate this excursion. The safety of our customers and our staff is always our top priority. We are sorry that the experience did not fully meet your expectations, although we hope that you were still able to appreciate some of the unique landscapes and the special character of this remarkable island. Kind regards.
