Tour naar de berg Teide en de Mascavallei in Tenerife

Verken de dorpen en landschappen rond de berg Teide van Tenerife en de Masca-vallei tijdens een dagtour! Na het verlaten van het zuiden van Tenerife, maak je een weg door het UNESCO World Heritage-lijst Teide National Park waar buitenaardse vulkanische bezienswaardigheden in overvloed. Ga door Vilaflor, een van de hoogstgelegen dorpen van Spanje, en stop voor foto's bij de beroemde drakenboom van het eiland van meer dan 3000 jaar oud in Icod De Los Viños. Geniet van Garachico, de oorspronkelijke haven van Tenerife, die werd verwoest door de laatste vulkaanuitbarsting en beroemd om zijn natuurlijke rotspoelen. Dan Masca het dorp op een klif het prachtige Canarische dorp verscholen in de heuvels. Met veel meer te zien en te ontdekken met deze reis zult u niet teleurgesteld worden. U heeft tijd voor de lunch in een aanbevolen restaurant of neem uw eigen lunch die er zijn veel plaatsen om te zitten en te eten. HOUD ER REKENING MEE DAT DE REISROUTE DOOR BEPAALDE OMSTANDIGHEDEN KAN WIJZIGEN. ROUTES KUNNEN WIJZIGEN ALS GEVOLG VAN HET WEER.

Dit is alleen voor ophalen in het noorden.
Een korte stop in een van de hoogste dorpen van Europa. Alleen ophalen in het zuiden.
Maak een mooie wandeling rond de beroemde rotsformaties met een prachtig uitzicht op de vulkaan de Teide en het Nationaal Park. Met uitzicht op het bekken waar het land tijdens de uitbarsting onder de kegel van de Teide zonk. Soms stoppen we bij de zapato de la reina rotsformatie.
Bekijk de vulkaanlavavelden van Chiñero (de meest recente van de uitbarstingen hier op Tenerife 1906)
Stop in Icod de los Vinos om de 3000 jaar oude drakenboom te bekijken. (De legende luidt dat als in deze boom wordt gezaagd, deze gaat bloeden.) Het dorp Icod is rustiek met de typische kerk en het plein.
Breng hier wat tijd door in misschien wel de mooiste dorpen van Tenerife. Ik klein gehucht verborgen in de plooien van het westen van Tenerife. Een gemeenschap van mensen die verborgen wilden blijven voor de rest van het eiland. Prachtig uitzicht op een kloof die leidt naar Los Gigantes. MASCA IS GESLOTEN VOOR DE MAAND AUGUSTUS VANWEGE BRANDGEVAAR.
Garachico was de oorspronkelijke eerste haven van Tenerife tot deze in 1706 werd verwoest door een uitbarsting van de vulkaan. Neem de tijd voor een wandeling door het centrum van de stad of neem plaats op het plein onder de bomen en geniet van het landschap.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Opstapplaatsen zijn in de kustplaatsen op Tenerife, tijden kunnen variëren, afhankelijk van waar u verblijft.. De meeste ophalingen zijn voor 08.30 uur Landelijk uit de weg hostels / Airbnb klanten zullen moeten een beetje reizen om de grotere kustplaatsen te bereiken. Wij halen niet bij alle hotels op. Een dichte centrale punt kan worden uitgegeven aan u. (korte loopafstand) WE NIET OPHALEN IN SANTA CRUZ, LA LAGUNA of landelijke gebieden. Wij halen niet op bij PALM MAR of ABADES. Alle North pick-ups zijn alleen van PUERTO DE LA CRUZ. We bezoeken niet langer de kliffen van Los Gigantes. Costa del Silencio en Las Galletas halen we alleen op dinsdag en donderdag op El Medano halen we elke dag op maar niet op woensdag of vrijdag.

Not an enjoyable tour. Our tour guide was rude and did not do a good job. The guide would wander off and not wait for everyone and did not make things clear. The route was a waste of time and finally getting to Masca we only had 20 minutes and couldn’t do anything but take some photos and leave. Book another one that focuses on just Masca.
Everything great, the service, the route, and the explanations. 100% recommended
We ordered English tour, result was that tour guide talking 80% Spanish, 15% German and rest was A1 level English (e.g. “now we go north”, “we can see Mt. Teide” ….). We were not stopping for anything interesting or view point, mostly at cafe or shop. Lost day from our holiday

I am sorry to see you missed out that we stop for Guarachico and Icod to see the Dragon Tree in the lovely village along with Masca and Teide national park. The two coffee shops we stop at are for bathroom breaks required by law. Maybe it was just not your thing.
Masca Valley, one of the key parts of the tour, was closed throughout August, due to fire risk. But this was not mentioned on the website at time of booking (3rd August), nor in any emails to follow. We only found out when we joined the tour bus on the day (5th August). The itinerary has since been updated. Obviously the closure is out of the tour operators control but it would have been good to give us time to reconsider. Not enough time at Teidi to look in visitors centre. A lot of time on the bus.

This has been a very unusual and unfortunate situation. Due to the exceptional weather conditions and increased fire risk, Masca was temporarily closed at very short notice. As stated in our tour information, itineraries can occasionally be subject to changes due to unforeseen weather and safety conditions. Thankfully, the weather has now cooled and we are pleased to say that Masca has reopened. We completely appreciate how disappointing this must have been, particularly given the timing of your visit. It was an unfortunate combination of circumstances and, unfortunately, bad timing. We have taken this experience on board and will do our very best to be even more prepared and proactive should we face another short-notice closure due to fire risk or other exceptional circumstances. Once again, we are very sorry for the disappointment and appreciate your understanding.
Wonderful! We saw so many beautiful places in one day. The guide was knowledgeable and told us many interesting facts about the history, geography and culture of Tenerife. She talked in both English and Spanish, so it was a great opportunity to practise our Spanish listening skills. The only negative thing - not enough time to explore the Masca village. It was rushed. After quite a long and scary journey up the hill, we should be able to spend more time up there. Good value for money.

The guide should speak more in English
Many thanks for your review. The guide has to split the languages evenly. We do try to keep languages seperate when we can., however it is not always possible. Mixing a langauge or 2 keeps the cost down for clients wanting to partake in the trip.

Hmm we did Tiede by night I was expecting more. To be fair though I live in Shetlsnd where we have Aurora Borielis regularly and some mind blowing sun sets can't say I'd recommend this trip its quite pricey for what you get

It was not the highlight of our journey. Most of our time was spent in the minibus between the planned places to visit.
