Onze Kakheti-tour biedt een dag in een van de mooiste regio's van Georgië. De allerbeste wijnen komen uit Kakheti. Bijna driekwart van de wijndruiven van het land wordt hier verbouwd. Archeologische vondsten suggereren dat hier al duizenden jaren wijn wordt geproduceerd. Bijna elk dorp in Kaketi staat bekend om zijn eigen soort wijn, zoals Kindzmarauli, Akhasheni, Teliani, Mukuzani. Wijnen zijn vernoemd naar de plaatsen waar ze worden geproduceerd. De reis naar Kakheti omvat verschillende toeristische bestemmingen, zoals het klooster van St. Nino in Bodbe, Sighnaghi - City of Love. Onderweg proeven we Georgisch brood genaamd "Shoti". Shoti wordt traditioneel gebakken in een diepe cirkelvormige klei-oven genaamd "tone". Tijdens het oogstseizoen bezoeken we ook een van de grootste wijnfabrieken in Khakheti, waar je wijn kunt proeven en kopen.

Familie Georgische traditionele wijnkelder op weg naar de stad van Love Signagi is een ideale plek voor diegenen die liever zelfgemaakte Georgische wijn en chacha bereid volgens alle traditionele normen en recepten van Georgië, wordt u begroet door een gastvrije gastheer die zeker zal tonen de Super ChachaGon en vertel een echte Georgische toast uit de kolonie. Pirosmanashvili Museum - Als je het trieste verhaal van de wereldberoemde Georgische schilder hebt gehoord, dan zal je gemakkelijk raden dat we het hebben over Niko Pirosmanashvili, ook bekend als Pirosmani. Het Niko Pirosmanashvili staatsmuseum is in 1960 gevestigd in Pirosmani's thuisdorp Mirzaani en omvat zijn familiehuis en een tentoonstellingsruimte met enkele originele werken en persoonlijke bezittingen van de kunstenaar.
Het klooster van St. Nino in Bodbe - Oorspronkelijk gebouwd in de 9e eeuw. Het is een van de belangrijkste pelgrimsoorden in Georgië. Klooster herbergt het graf van ST. Nino, het Cappadocische meisje dat Georgische mensen al in 337 na Christus tot Chtistianiteit heeft bekeerd. Het heeft een adembenemend uitzicht op de Alazani-vallei en de met sneeuw bedekte bergen van de Kaukasus.
Sighnaghi - Stad van liefde. Het is de mooiste stad in Kaheti. Sighnagi werd oorspronkelijk ontwikkeld in de 18e eeuw door koning Erekle II. De verdedigingsmuren en 28 torens werden door hem gebouwd tegen de Lezgische invasie. De stad heeft een prachtig uitzicht over de Alazani-vallei naar de Kaukasus daarbuiten. Na de wandeling hebben we een traditioneel diner met workshop, waar u leert hoe u traditionele maaltijden kunt bereiden. Je kunt ook traditionele snoepjes proeven, met druivensap - Churchkhela en Pelamushi.

It was a small group of 5 of us with a delightful English speaking guide Anano and an excellent driver David . The Telavi tour comprised of a pleasant drive through the country side and we stopped at Ujarma monastery, went across to a wine making and tasting place . Lunch was fabulous. We stopped to check out a 900 year old tree, and the masterpiece was the Tsinandali estate the summer home of thr famous Georgian writer and patron of the arts - Chavchavadze, which gave us an insight into the life of a famous aristocrat and intellectual. It was a well preserved summer retreat with had many original items of irniture,.pianos, cutlery, crockery etc intact. Anano kept us curious and her historical narrative transported us to Georgian history, origins of orthodox christianity and Georgian cultire. She was also very open to answering questions of current political scenario and was very professional and balanced all through. I highly recommend the tour company and guide.

My friend and I took a Kakheti wine tasting tour. The tour was great, and we had so much fun. Special thanks to our tour guide, Nino—she was wonderful! Luka explained the wine differences and the winemaking process in a very fun and welcoming way. The food was delicious and the ladies at the restaurant were very sweet!

We as a family of 4 had a great tour exploring the Kakheti region! Our Guide Nick was extremely knowledgeable of the area and Georgian Culture & history and gave us ample time to explore each destination. Our driver Vazo also was very good and safe driving. We really enjoyed each spot and the winery Vineria Kakheti was gorgeous and gave us a detailed wine tasting and lunch. Would definitely recommend this trip to friends & family! 🥂😊
