Deze boottocht wordt uitgevoerd door: PH Whale Watch, je ontdekt de verbazingwekkende onderwaterwereld van Champagne Reef en Scotts Head. Tussen de twee snorkelplekken door kun je ontspannen in de warmwaterbronnen van Bubble Beach. Het is een zeer privétour met maximaal 8 personen op de boot. Tour is gepland om op tijd terug te zijn op uw cruiseschip. Dit is een door de overheid goedgekeurde tour (veilig in de natuur), dus je kunt deze tour ook doen als je per cruiseschip binnenkomt. Mensen van het cruiseschip in Roseau halen we per boot direct bij het schip op. Alle andere ontmoeten we bij de veerbootterminal in Roseau. We halen niet op bij hotels of andere plaatsen.

Ervaar het spektakel van het regenboogkleurige zeegezicht van Dominica tijdens deze zeer privérondvaart. Champagne Reef, genoemd naar het borrelende water dat opstijgt uit vulkanische thermale bronnen op de oceaanbodem, trekt duik- en snorkelliefhebbers van over de hele wereld. De dalende kliffen en torenhoge vulkanische formaties van het rif passen perfect bij de enorme bergen en kloven van Dominica. Of u nu gaat duiken of snorkelen, u zult een oogverblindende explosie van kleuren tegenkomen. Het rif heeft een verfdoos met sponzen met namen als roze azuurblauw, rood touw, gele buis en paarse vaas. Passend bij de kleur en variëteit van de sponzen en crinoïden is een fascinerende reeks onderzeese wezens - octopus, roggen, trompetvissen, papegaaivissen, hengelaarsvissen, vleermuisvissen, karetschildpadden, zeepaardjes, zeeslangen en paling. U kunt zelfs de overblijfselen van het 17e-eeuwse Spaanse scheepswrak tegenkomen. Na deze snorkeltocht van ongeveer 45 minuten ga je naar het strand voor een koud drankje.
Tussen onze twee snorkelplekken rusten we uit in de hete zeebronnen bij Bubble Beach nabij het dorp Soufriere.
Onze tweede snorkelplek heet Scott's Head en kijkt uit over de baai van Soufriere. Het is gelegen nabij een klein dorpje aan de zuidwestkust van Dominica. Scott's Head is een van de meest populaire duik- en snorkelplekken met soldeervissen, grunts en zeeschildpadden. U zult uitzicht op de oceaan zien dat zich uitstrekt tot in Martinique. Scott's Head is het enige gebonden eiland in de hele Caraïben met aan de ene kant de Atlantische zee en aan de andere kant de Caribische Zee.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Mensen die aankomen met een Cruiseschip halen we 30 minuten voor vertrek op met de boot direct bij de Cruiseschip terminal in Roseau of Woodbridge Bay. Wacht aan het einde van de brug waar je van het schip onder de tent/luifel door loopt. Wij staan daar met een bordje PH Whale Watch & Snorkel. We kunnen wat later zijn omdat we ook van het andere schip moeten ophalen. Zijn Een 1 minuut lopen naar de boot. Loop niet naar buiten om te parkeren!! En volg geen aanwijzingen van andere mensen. Vraag het VVV-kantoor om ons te bellen. Als je schip aanmeert aan bakboordhoutbrugbaai blijf dan waar het schip is onder de witte tent. Wij komen naar u toe Mensen die niet met het Cruiseschip komen ontmoeten we vanaf 30 minuten voor vertrek direct bij de ferry Terminal in Roseau waar de boot vertrekt. Wacht buiten! Kun je ons niet vinden? Bel ons gewoon even.

Unbelievable tour. Great snorkeling at Champagne Reef and Scott’s Head. Our guides, Britney and Selo were amazing - knowledgeable and fun. We gave this tour, and the guides, 5 stars because we could not give them more. Highly recommended!!.

Very different snorkeling here than anywhere else. Love the champagne waters and beach with natural hot waters from the volcano. Felt safe the whole time with them. Great tour. Visiting Champagne Reef / Bubble Beach was simply the best experience ever! Everything was perfectly organized upon arrival, and the local people were incredibly friendly, warm and helpful – you immediately felt welcome. Snorkeling was an absolute dream: beautiful, colorful fish everywhere and the unique “bubbles” rising from the seabed make this place truly magical. I've never seen anything like it! The highlight for me was bathing in the natural “whirlpool” – a real natural bath that is just fantastic and provides total relaxation. All in all an unforgettable experience that I can only recommend to anyone. An absolute dream and definitely one of the most beautiful highlights ever!

I’ve been on many snorkeling tours over the years but this one was by far the best ever! Sello and Brittany were so much fun to be around and the beautiful and amazing coral, fish and champagne bubbles coming from the ocean floor was so awesome and educational!Then we went to a small village where Sello is from. He had us walk in the cool shoreline water and had us bury our feet about 2 inches into the sand below the cool water and it was so hot from the volcanic activity below. Everything was amazing and interesting! They limit it to 8 people which makes the adventure even better.
Friendly, knowledgeable crew (Brittany & Cello (sp?) & good snorkeling on the Champagne Reef. Nice to be in a small boat with only 8 passengers instead of the big snorkel boats. We were all from different cruise ships but the crew made sure we were back in time for departure. It was really windy the day we went & the crew took us to Scott’s Head after Champagne to see if it was doable. It was pretty rough & poor visibility but the crew let us decide if we wanted to try. We all agreed it didn’t look great so we stopped by the fun little hot springs/beach bar instead. I’m a scuba diver & used to live in the Caribbean so I’ve seen great diving. I dove the Champagne Reef 25 years ago & it was nice to see it still had some decent sea life. I would recommend this tour!
Small group tour (6 total) was perfect. Weather didnt cooperate but the guides adjusted snorkeling sites to give us the best experience possible. Lovely time out, well looked after (constantly checking to make sure everyone was ok and equipment working) and got to see a variety of fish, sea turtles and the bubbles at champagne beach. Saw other boats overloaded with tourists and were so happy we chose this company to have a much more personal experience away from those large groups.
Our guides did not take us to Bubble Beach - so we missed out on 1/3 of this tour that we paid for. We went to Champagne Reef, skipped Bubble Beach, then they said Scott’s Head area was not viable for that day, then took us to a different location where the visibility and the overall experience was mediocre.
We had an amazing half day snorkel to Champagne bubbles. The crew really took care of us. The guide stayed with us the entire time pointing out lots of cool stuff and keeping us safe as well. I would absolutely recommend this excursion to all!!
