Dominica is het enige land ter wereld waar de potvis het hele jaar door verblijft. Slechts een korte boottocht brengt u in contact met 's werelds grootste getande dier in de kalme turquoise Caribische Zee. De operators die walvissen spotten, volgen strikte gedragscodes, minimaliseren elke verstoring en lokken de walvissen nooit. In het zeldzame geval dat de walvissen ongrijpbaar zijn, zult u zeker de acrobatiek zien van honderden gevlekte en spinnerdolfijnen. Ook bultruggen, pilotenwalvissen en andere walvissen zijn tijdens onze cruises gezien. OPERATOR: PH Whale Watch Dominica. Vertrektijden: Dagelijks om 9.30 uur en 13.30 uur. We spreken ook Duits en zijn op tijd terug bij uw cruiseschip. Onze boot Met onze 24ft open kielboot, 2x 60PK 4-takt stille motoren, kunnen we dicht bij de walvissen komen zonder ze te storen. Onze boot is ontworpen voor kleine groepen en gezinnen met maximaal 8 gasten. Breng je camera, zonnebrandcrème, pet, zonnebril mee en kleed je licht aan Wij brengen water & rum punch

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Operator: PH Whale Watch. Mensen die aankomen met een Cruiseschip halen we 30 minuten voor vertrek op met de boot direct bij de Cruiseschip terminal in Roseau of Woodbridge Bay. Wacht aan het einde van de brug waar je van het schip onder de tent/luifel door loopt. Wij staan daar met een bordje PH Whale Watch & Snorkel. Het is een 1 minuut lopen naar de boot. We kunnen wat later zijn omdat we ook van het andere schip moeten ophalen. Niet lopen Uit naar parkeren!! En volg geen aanwijzingen van andere mensen. Kan ons niet vinden bel of vraag VVV om ons te bellen. Mensen die niet met het cruiseschip komen ontmoeten we 30 minuten voor aanvang Vertrek direct bij de ferry Terminal in Roseau waar de boot vertrekt. Wacht. buiten!

Great. Just looking, but still found (using hydraphone) ! Small fast boat so real feeling of being on the water!
This was amazing! It was a small boat of 8 people so everyone had a view of the ocean. We didn’t see any sperm whales because instead we saw Orcas (which scare away the sperm whales). They guide was really lovely and positive and took us out for well over 3 hours so we could get the full experience of the whales. We then celebrated with rum punch. 100% worth the money and would definitely do again!
Unfortunately, we did not have the chance to see any whales or dolphins, but our captain for the day was super nice. He spent 3 hours trying to find them without success and ultimately gave us a tour of the coast of Dominica. A company that cares for the environment. Highly recommended.
An amazing experience you must do - we saw 10 sperm whales which hung around for about 45 minutes which was incredible. Also saw dolphins on the way out. Britney and Selo made the trip great fun and were very knowledgeable on the whales!
It wasn't the season to see many whales, but they persevered and I was able to see whales. It was good.

The guides were absolutely amazing however this is a give/take type of experience. We did not see any whales or dolphins so it was partially a waste. Nature is truly fickle so beware.
I had an amazing time on our whale and dolphin watching tour. We saw a large pod of dolphins playing alongside the boat, which was such a fun and unforgettable experience, and we were lucky enough to spot two whales surfacing in the distance. The crew was friendly and knowledgeable, and the whole trip was well organized and relaxed. The boat was comfortable with plenty of space to enjoy the views and take photos. Overall, it was a really special experience and I highly recommend.
Great adventure with very knowledgeable guides. Saw lots of whales and the tour only books eight passengers. Second time we've done it.
