Slechts een uur ten noorden van Sydney ligt dit verborgen juweeltje aan de benedenloop van de Hawkesbury-rivier, te midden van een spectaculair landschap, een overvloed aan zeedieren en generaties oude oesterkwekerijen.

Fantastic
A little out of the way
Great experience learning a bit more about pearl farming, pearl harvesting and oysters tasting.
Very friendly staff. Shelly sent us to Chatswood as it was difficult to get an Uber back. Definitely worth visiting, though renting a car would be advisable.

A nice day trip from Sydney for oyster and pearl enthusiasts
This was a nice day trip from Sydney. It was easy to get to the meeting point via train from Sydney Central Station and the driver met us promptly. We learned a lot from the tour. We also liked the interactive nature of the tour. We went out on a boat to see the oyster beds. We saw an oyster being opened with a pearl inside. We saw a demonstration on how to shuck an oyster and got the opportunity to do it ourselves. The oysters in the tasting were delicious. On top of all that, we got to shop for jewelry.

Great gift idea
Fabulous experience. Guides were very passionate and informative. I learned a lot. Good fun too. I bought this tour as a gift my my friend's 50th Birthday as something a bit different

Fabulous Experience
What a beautiful way to spend a Sunday in Winter. As soon as we arrived we were welcomed very warmly by all the staff. We were very impressed with the smooth operation of the tour. It was the perfect amount of time with information sharing - loved the hands on experience and it was great that the young children were involved in choosing the oyster that we opened. The boat trip was so good and our guide had a great way of explaining information and she was genuinely concerned about our comfort as we headed back in strong winds. She had blankets & wind jackets at the ready. And we finished off with oyster tasting /- delicious and great to taste pearl meat.
A special thank you to the team who were very helpful with our request for some “used” oyster shells - for our daughters hens day. They look fabulous.

Oysters - a whole new world to explore
Well worth the experience . I have learned so much from the informative talk and hands on experience that was delivered by Helen. The talk was not just about pearls , but how each one of these oysters help clean the natural water environment , the environmental value of having oysters in our water system , not to mention producing aesthetic and practical products for us to enjoy . The gastronomic experience was one of the great highlights of the tour - the taste of the oysters in every bite was moorishedly enjoyed.
The boat trip to the oyster farm in the waterways certainly added a sense of adventure to the whole experience .
The staff members were all very friendly knowledgeable and accommodating.

Fabulous and SO interest, highly recommend this fabulous experience!
This is such a fabulous thing to do! I took my whole family ( including x 3 young kids 8 and under) and they loved it and learned so much. The tours was fascinating and I learned so much - and I ended up doing the oyster tasting after, I discovered so much about oysters and am officially obsessed with this incredible, magical creatures. Highly recommend, thoroughly enjoyed! (also - fabulous and friendly staff, should out to @Helen and also @ Kat - who was so knowledgeable and friendly with my kids).

Definitely worth the experience
This was so much more than I envisioned it would be. On arrival we were greeted by the team who were so friendly and welcoming.
The jewellery designs are next level. Unique and beautiful with a great variety.
The boat cruise was fantastic. Families on board. Information was explained well. Very engaging. On our arrival back for our taste testing, the table was set up and ready for our group.
Nothing was rushed, the team is A1. It’s nice to visit a place where the staff are obviously passionate about what they do, are happy and love their jobs.
