De Rocks Walking Tours bieden een meeslepende reis door een van de meest historische wijken van Sydney. The Rocks ligt aan de voet van de Sydney Harbour Bridge en is een plek waar geplaveide straten en koloniale gebouwen verhalen vertellen over de vroege kolonisten van de stad. Onder leiding van onze deskundige gidsen duiken deze rondleidingen in het rijke wandtapijt van verhalen van de stichting van het gebied als een gevangenennederzetting tot de transformatie in een bruisende buurt aan het water. Onderweg verkennen bezoekers verborgen steegjes, pubs die op de monumentenlijst staan en belangrijke bezienswaardigheden, terwijl ze de unieke mix van geschiedenis en moderniteit ontdekken die The Rocks definieert. - Het gaat om een matige hoeveelheid lopen van ongeveer. 2 km in het tempo van de deelnemers van de groep
- Kleine groepen (niet meer dan 20 personen)
- Tour omvat oneffen oppervlakken, kasseien, versleten zandsteen vlaggende trappen en trappen; terwijl deze elementen van de tour nooit zijn beschouwd als inspannend door de meeste mensen, voor anderen kan dit worden beschouwd als een ongeschikte activiteit.
- Comfortabele wandelschoenen, hoed en een fles water voorgesteld
- Werkt in alle weersomstandigheden, kleedt u zich naar de voorspelde weersomstandigheden die geschikt zijn voor een outdoor activiteit
- Kinderen en baby's moeten worden begeleid door een volwassene
- Trefpunt is gemakkelijk te voet bereikbaar voor aankomsten van cruises/excursies aan wal
- Rolstoel (handbediend) en kinderwagenvriendelijke route
- De tour is rolstoeltoegankelijk, maar wees voorbereid op oneffenheden op de bezochte locaties, wat moeilijk kan zijn voor mensen met een loophandicap of met een aangedreven rolstoel / scootmobiel

My wife and I have been to Sydney many times over the years and have always wandered around the lovely rocks area. BUT..... we have never undertaken a walking tour. On this trip we did. And was it worth it!! The history, the little laneways, the buildings etc were fantastic. But if we did not have George as our tour guide I feel it would not have been the same. He was fantastic. Great commentary on the history and its great to do a walking tour when the guide is someone that goes over and above when loving their job. Kudos to The Rocks Walking tours and to George.

Excellent tour of the rocks area. Our Tour Guide, Anne, was really knowledgeable…and funny. I learnt so much about the Rocks history. The tour was scheduled for 1.5 hours, but I think we did a bit more than that. I can definitely recommend.
