Nadat je je gids hebt ontmoet in je centraal gelegen CBD-hotel, reis je ongeveer 45 minuten naar Featherdale Wildlife Park, een van de favoriete inheemse natuurreservaten van Sydney, de thuisbasis van iconische Australische dieren zoals kangoeroes, koala's en een reeks prachtige inheemse vogels. Hier heb je de mogelijkheid om een selfie te maken met een koala, en dichtbij te komen voor een persoonlijke ontmoeting terwijl je poseert voor de camera met de dieren.
Ga vervolgens naar Echo Point Katoomba, het perfecte uitkijkpunt voor de iconische Three Sisters; een prachtige natuurlijke rotsformatie vernoemd naar een Aboriginal legende die een verhaal beschrijft van drie zussen die in steen veranderden. Hier laat je gids je terug in de tijd nemen terwijl je de legendes van de lokale inheemse bevolking verkent en de geschiedenis rond de rotsformatie ontdekt. Je hebt ook tijd voor de perfecte fotomoment terwijl je uitkijkt over de Jamison Valley en de unieke blauwe waas die de skyline bedekt.
De volgende is Scenic World, een van de meest bezochte attracties van de Blue Mountains. Voor de natuurliefhebbers, geniet van de frisse lucht en bekijk het bladerdak van het regenwoud dat op de werelderfgoedlijst staat terwijl je je een weg baant door het weelderige groen langs de promenades. Als je zin hebt in wat meer avontuur, is de schilderachtige wereld de thuisbasis van 's werelds steilste hellingbaan en een ongelooflijke schilderachtige kabelbaanrit. De kabelbaan is een volledig afgesloten cabine met glazen vloer en biedt een uniek uitzicht over de vallei naar de Three Sisters, Orphan Rock, Mt Solitary en de prachtige Katoomba Falls. Je zult het gevoel hebben dat je vliegt terwijl je over de adembenemende Katoomba Falls reist - een bezienswaardigheid die je niet wilt missen. Als de glazen vloer niets voor u is, is er een stevige vloer met zitplaatsen aan de rand van de cabine.
Sluit uw dag af op een hoogtepunt terwijl u het drukke verkeer in het spitsuur omzeilt met een ontspannen cruise over de Parramatta-rivier terug naar Darling Harbour of Circular Quay. Very good day. Excellent program and timing. Guide was very accommodating. . Weather was against us but can’t help that. Dropping us off at a ferry terminal to find our own way back to our hotel was not ideal.
Must see-great experience- time too short on mountain- I would do it again Bring snacks, water Lunch time too short otherwise it’s great
Our whole day was fun-filled and worth every cent! The places we went to were great and really worth visiting. Our driver and tour guide, Jed, was very good, very accomodating and most of all, very knowledgeable! We learned so much from him. He was funny too so it really made the tour very light and amusing. We truly had such an amazing day and so glad we chose this tour company out of all the others offering similar tours! Thanks again, Jed! BGE! Best Group Ever! 😊
We thoroughly enjoyed this excursion. Our driver/guide, Aaron, was an absolute gem! He shared so much information with us casually as we drove along. I could have stayed at Featherdale all day, so it’s not fair to say that stop wasn’t long enough. If I were to do it again, though, I would buy 2 cups of food and move a little bit more quickly. The views of the blue Mountains were also breathtaking. Scenic World was my least favorite part of the trip, but only because I felt overwhelmed by the number of people. The train was a blast but the “gondolas”felt chaotic to me as people pushed to get the spots they wanted. Overall, this trip is a great value! When you consider the price of the admission to featherdale and scenic world, you’re really only paying another $40 or so for someone else to do the planning and transport you while you relax and take in the scenery. It’s a bargain!
This is a must-see if you are visiting Sydney. FJ tours did a great job organizing everything. Jed was a great guide with the perfect amount of conversation and area tips. Great ambassador for the company and for Australia. Highly recommend.
This was the perfect day getting to see a different part of Australia. Jed was an amazing guide who picked us right up from the hotel, gave us great history lessons along the way, and told us step by step what we were doing. Loved the expectation setting! We saw cool animals at the mountain zoo, had lunch in Leura, saw spectacular views, rode gondolas and trains, and then ferried back on a beautiful night. I loved it!
If you’re looking for a single day excursion to the blue Mountains from Sydney, this is the trip for you. Our tour guide Ben was extraordinary from the good morning that he gave us when we first saw him until waiting on the docs for us and waving goodbye when we left, he took care of us every step of the way it was very full of information and was fun and pleasant the entire time great trip. I would advise anyone to take this trip. Great value for the money 100 out of 100+ a little extra for Ben..
The tour was outstanding! I really enjoyed going to Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park. I was able to pet the baby kangaroos and see the exotic birds. The koalas were pretty high up on the trees sleeping. June is winter season in Australia so bring a jacket. It was really cold in the Blue Mountains. Our tour guide Aaron was very informative.

Comfortable ride, small group. Great pace- nether too slow nor rushed. The animal sanctuary was well done and a worthwhile experience. Leura is a charming village with great food and shopping options. The views at Echo point were stunning as were those at Scenic World. I enjoyed the narrations that shared the history of the region and told of traditions of the First People. Our driver, Graeme, made the entire trip very enjoyable! He shared fun facts and was warm and engaging.
