Tijdens onze Secret Food Tour Bologna : wij bezorgen u een onvergetelijke smaakervaring. We beginnen met een traditionele Raviola met Mostarda alla Bolognese. Daarna bezoeken we een van de oudste Salumeria van de stad om meer te leren over de lokale vleesproducten en de beroemde pasta's. U zult genieten van : Parmigiano Reggiano, Prosciutto di Parma, Mortadella di Bologna en nog veel meer regionale vleeswaren in de oudste Osteria ter wereld met een glas van onze lokale wijn. Vervolgens hebben we een voorproefje gepland van handgemaakte pasta die speciaal voor ons is gemaakt in een lokale Trattoria, altijd met een glas lokale wijn (en een kopje koffie, als je dat lekker vindt) Vervolgens bezoeken we de belangrijkste lokale voedselmarkt, genaamd Quadrilatero, en we genieten van een proeverij van verschillende soorten balsamicoazijn uit Modena om te ontdekken hoe deze geweldige traditie nog steeds diep geworteld is in deze regio. Houd er rekening mee dat we nog geen glutenvrije of veganistische optie kunnen aanbieden. Deze tour is ook niet rolstoel- en kinderwagentoegankelijk.

Welkom bij het begin van onze culinaire odyssee in Palazzo della Mercanzia. Onze gids zal een procedure starten met introducties, die het toneel vormen voor een verkwikkende verkenning van de dynamische culinaire scene van Bologna. De bouw van het paleis vindt zijn oorsprong in de 14e eeuw en diende historisch gezien als het epicentrum voor de economische en commerciële activiteiten van de stad. Een opvallend kenmerk van Palazzo della Mercanzia is het imposante houten beeld van San Petronio, de patroonheilige van Bologna, dat trots op de gevel staat.

De markt creëert een levendige en kleurrijke sfeer en profileert zich als een centraal punt voor fijnproevers. De Basilica di San Petronio, een majestueuze en historische kerk gelegen in het hart van Bologna, Italië, is een van de grootste kerken ter wereld en een prominent herkenningspunt in de stad. De bouw van de kerk, opgedragen aan Sint Petronius, de patroonheilige van Bologna, begon in 1390 en omvatte eeuwen met bijdragen van verschillende architecten.

Hands down, my best experience I had in Italy for the 2.5 weeks I was there. I was in town for a business conference and then was meeting family in Tuscany the following week for vacation. I learned so much from my tour guide that made me feel the depth of Italian history and cuisine across the world. This is a must. Experiencing history through food is imperative for cultural appreciation and exploration.
Wonderful food tour! We went as a family of 7 and it was a highlight of our trip. Claire was our tour guide and she was energetic, fun and full of great information about the food of Bologna. We ate so much and enjoyed every experience she took us to. Highly recommend! Thanks for a wonderful time!

Great tour, really informative. Great host in Mattia who got the balance just right in regards to imparting information and then just having a chat. Visited lots of genuine working authentic shops and restaurants rather than it being a tourist route. Would recommend.
