We beginnen deze ongelooflijke reis met een vroege pick-up (rond 7.00 uur) in Bologna met onze privéminibus of minibus om naar het platteland tussen Modena en Bologna te gaan. Waarom zo vroeg? Parmigiano Reggiano wacht niet! Het is alleen in de vroege ochtend gemaakt en we willen dat je zo snel mogelijk in actie komt! We zullen de kaasmakers voor uw ogen alle productiestappen zien verzorgen. Je kunt de romige wrongel aanraken, de gekookte kaas proeven en absoluut versteld staan van het pakhuis, waar duizenden wielen om je heen minstens twaalf maanden wachten om “gedoopt” te worden tot Parmigiano Reggiano. Tijd om het te proeven, wat had je verwacht? Jong of oud, romig of knapperig, delicaat of intens: u kunt beslissen welke van de 2 monsters van verschillende leeftijden uw favoriet is... of gewoon van allebei houdt!
Derde en laatste uitmuntendheid om te ontmoeten: vlees (woordspeling bedoeld)! De producten van Prosciutto Factory Montevecchio zullen uw smaakpapillen veroveren met hun geurige geur, boterachtige textuur en delicate smaak. We leren over de strikte regelgeving, het lange uithardingsproces en de enorme zorg die nodig is om slechts 2 ingrediënten om te zetten in een typisch product met unieke eigenschappen. We zullen de heilzaamheid en echtheid ervan proeven met andere lokale vleeswaren en een glas Lambrusco, voordat een goede lunch wordt geserveerd!
Een ander juweel van Emilia Romagna wacht om ontdekt te worden: traditionele balsamicoazijn uit Modena. Na ons ‘kampioenenontbijt’ met lokale salame, mortadella, zelfgebakken brood, cake, Lambrusco-wijn en koffie, leiden we je naar een magische wereld van geuren, smaken, geduld en familietraditie die je nog nooit eerder hebt meegemaakt! In de rijpingskamer, omgeven door vele vredige vaten, worden de geheimen van dit complexe, unieke en fascinerende product onthuld.

What a wonderful day full of once in a lifetime experiences and fantastic food. Yes...it's an early start but completely worth it. My wife and I loved every stop. When they say breakfast and lunch, they aren't talking just pastries and sandwiches...it is a journey for the palette. Definitely recommend if you are visiting and have the time.
The Bologna food experience was a superb way to grasp first hand the joys of artisan food production in Emilia Romana. The sights and smells of the paramigiano factory enhances my understanding of a cheese I use at least twice a week. The same goes for the prosciutto factory. Our guide was knowledgeable and charming. He English was not 100% these, but that was part of her charm. I can't imagine how anyone could visit Emilia Romana without taking this tour.
It was a long but very interesting day. We loved the tours of the various facilities and the information on how the various food items were made. Our guide was amazing, she was funny and answered all questions. She made it even more interesting. I did think there was a lot of food, more than expected and the "party" event was a tad interesting, we didn't realize the lunch was going to have that. It was fun but the I don't think it resonated with everyone. All in all, it was a great tour and fun event.
Loved everything about it. Except tour guides that you could understand. Very informative. Plenty of good food. Very entertaining. Would definitely recommend for all!
Absolutely terrific tour! The destinations were fabulous, the food was delicious, and our hosts were genuinely friendly, accommodating, and very humorous too! Highly recommended!
The place we visited were nice and extraordinary. Lots of interesting information was provided. Still was left with the feeling that the tour is repeated day after day. Also the last two hours of the lunch weren’t authentic Italian with American karaoke songs…
Great informative and fun tour but a fairly long day so good idea to pace yourself with both food and drink from the beginning. Don’t worry you won’t end this tour hungry or thirsty.
Excellent. Learnt a great deal. Elena was fantastico! Breakfast and lunch were a true experience of local Italian food shared with family.
