Brouilly, Morgon, Chiroubles, Fleurie, Moulin-a-Vent, Juliénas, etc. Welkom in de regio Noord-Beaujolais, waar de elite Gamay-wijnen met de naam "crus" worden geproduceerd! Tijdens deze wijnreis, terwijl u door charmante stadjes met prachtige kastelen rijdt, laten we u kennis maken met enkele van de meest gerenommeerde Beaujolais-wijnen in een klein familiewijnhuis en in de prachtige kelder van een Chateau-landgoed:

Om 13.50 uur zal onze Engelstalige gids u ontmoeten voor het Lyon Office de Tourisme-gebouw op het Bellecour-plein (50 m tegenover Le Royal Hotel). Na een korte wandeling stappen de deelnemers op de 8-persoons minibus om de wijn naar de noordelijke Beaujolais te beginnen.
Begin de reis op de prachtige Beaujolais "Route des Vins" en leer met uw gids over het "terroir" (Franse filosofie voor wijn) en de verschillende kenmerken van de Beaujolais "crus"-wijnbenamingen. Passeer de Mont Brouilly, een opvallend mooie slapende vulkaan bedekt met eeuwenoude wijngaarden.
Om 15:15 uur duw je de deur van een kleine familiewijnmakerij open, ontmoet je een gepassioneerde wijnmaker en leer je de verschillende stappen van het unieke wijnbereidingsproces van Beaujolais, genaamd "semi-carbonic" maceratie. Ga dan naar de mooi ingerichte caveau (wijnproefruimte) om te genieten van verschillende crus Beaujolais-wijnen van verschillende jaargangen.
Steek vervolgens Morgon over en reis naar La Madone Chapel in Fleurie om te genieten van een adembenemend panorama van de Beaujolais-wijnstreek: op heldere dagen heb je misschien de kans om de Alpen en de Mont Blanc te zien!
Reis opnieuw over de Beaujolais-wijnroute, passeer Moulin-à-Vent en bereik vervolgens de stad Chénas om de verbazingwekkende kelder van een Chateau Wine Estate vol eiken vaten te ontdekken. Het is tijd om te genieten van prachtige Crus-wijnen terwijl uw gids ze beschrijft en u vertelt over hun aroma's, balans en complexiteit ... Gewoon onvergetelijk!
Om 18.30 uur zet je gids je af bij het Lyon Office de Tourism-gebouw, op het Bellecour-plein. Een must-do wijntour!

We had a great time. Really enjoyed both wineries and Olivier was very knowledgeable. We also stopped for scenic views along the way. There were 8 of us so the van was full. Everyone had a seat but you will get close with your fellow passengers. It was definitely more wineries than castles as a couple were pointed out on the way, but the Wine tour is what I wanted.

Most favorite part of the tour was being able to visit small winierys and the owners actually telling our group the history of their vineyards. Being able to understand the whole process step by step, then being able to sample the wine was very intersting I would highly recommend this tour to visitors for a very pleasant afternoon full of history, excellent wines and meeting very lovely people.
