Wist je dat wijn voor Georgiërs een integraal onderdeel van ons leven is? Deze tour is een kans voor jou als je Georgië als bakermat van de wijn wilt ervaren. Wij halen u om 09:00 uur op bij uw hotel/appartement en hier begint uw reis. Onze eerste stop is bij het plaatselijke dorp waar u een unieke kans heeft om de plaatselijke traditionele bakkerij te bezoeken om Georgische traditionele kaas en brood te proeven - Shoti. Daarna verkennen we hoogtepunten van Kakheti zoals Sighnaghi - de Stad van de Liefde en het Bodbe-klooster met zijn fascinerende uitzichten.

KTW Wine Factory, Kakheti: Als een van de grootste wijnfabrieken van Kakheti biedt KTW een unieke proefervaring voor bezoekers. Tijdens onze tour krijgen we de gelegenheid om een selectie van hun beste wijnen te proeven, die een echte smaak van Kakheti's gevierde wijnbouw bieden.
Bodbe-klooster gewijd aan Saint Nino ligt in Bodbe, op 2 km van de stad Sighnaghi, Kakheti. St. Nino is een zeer belangrijke heilige voor Georgiërs, omdat zij degene was die het christendom in ons land in de 5e eeuw verspreidde. De laatste jaren van haar leven bracht ze door in Bodbe, daarom hebben Georgiërs St. Nino in dit kloostercomplex begraven. Tegenwoordig komen veel mensen haar tombe zien, omdat deze plek erg wonderbaarlijk is. Je zult veel mensen zien die met tranen naar buiten komen en veel verhalen horen waarin wordt uitgelegd hoe hun wensen uitkwamen. Deze plaats heeft veel geheimen en verhalen. Je zult het al voelen als je de prachtige tuin binnenkomt die uitkijkt over de Alazani-vallei. Nonnen, die daar wonen, zorgen ervoor en proberen het zo mooi en groen te houden als tijdens het leven van St. Nino.
Sighnaghi is een klein stadje in het oosten van Georgië, gelegen op de berghelling in de historische regio Kakheti. Het werd gesticht in de 17e eeuw tijdens het bewind van koning Erekle II van Georgië, en zoals de lokale bevolking zegt, het is de enige stad in Georgië die volledig is bewaard gebleven met een vestingmuur die een van de grootste muur ter wereld is. De grote muur wordt bekroond met 27 wachttorens en 6 poorten waar reizigers kunnen klimmen om een prachtig uitzicht op de Alazani-vallei te krijgen. Nieuw leven van Sighnaghi begon in 2007 toen het veranderde in een Europese stad. De architectuur met smalle geplaveide straatjes en prachtige balkons zal u niet onverschillig laten. De stad heeft twee centrale pleinen met een trouwhuis waar het paar op elk moment van de dag kan trouwen. Zo wordt Sighnaghi de stad van de liefde genoemd. Je vindt er veel gezellige plaatsen, hotels en hostels naar jouw smaak, straatcafés en restaurants, waar je de zelfgemaakte Kakhetian-wijnen kunt proberen: Saperavi, Kindzmarauli, Rkaciteli, Mtsvane ... Er is een lange lijst.

We had a great tour with Luka who was charming and knowledgeable. He took us to visit a number of wineries where we learned about and samples some excellent Georgian wines. Along the way we learned a bit about Georgian history and culture. It was a full day out but the time passed by quickly.

Luka was amazing, and I had a wonderful tour. We went all through the wine region of Georgia and to see the beautiful country side. Luka was very attentive and explained everything super well. He took me to many locals houses to try their wines and bites. Tour took in total 7 hours. At the end of my trip I left my jacket at a restaurant in Tbilisi. After I left the country, Luka was so kind to retrieve the jacket and ship it to me. Thank you to Luka for making my Georgia experience so wonderful ☺️🩷 I cannot recommend enough!!!

Pick up by Luka was on time and well organized. It was nice to be flexible with our stops and move the wine tasting to the end it was less crowded and we felt like we could talk to the tour guide more than if we were mixed with a huge group. We loved seeing the farm for the bread and cheese tasting, the view points were great and Luka made sure to find a certain preserve I was looking for while we were on our tour and I’m so happy to have it. The convent was beautiful and so was Sighnaghi. It made me want to come back to Georgia and explore more small towns and see the countryside. The nature is so beautiful. I highly recommend this tour!

What a great two day trip! From the monastery, to the tours of wineries, to the cooking class, to the amazing scenery of Kakheti, Luka and his team figured out a way for me to see a maximum slice of Georgia in a minimal amount of time. Mancho, my driver, was much more than just a driver — played great music as we drove, engaged in great conversation, and was there every step of the way to help out with finding lodgings and communicating with others. My friend and I did the private wine experience together. We had a wonderful time. We tried wine at so many places. Luca had a lot of knowledge about wine and he gave us a very authentic wine experience. I will always recommend everyone to book tour thru this agency.

I booked Lela’s tour 2 weeks before my arrival in Georgia and it was such a wonderful experience! She responded promptly and professionally! My guide that day, Mirian, was very kind, speaks very well english and very accommodating! Because it is a private tour, you can take your time and visit the touristic point at your own pace! Mirian was very knowledgeable and guided me when buying wine, cheese, local sweets etc! I really enjoyed the tour, well organized and professional! One thing that I am grateful for to Lela is that in Gudauri, she helped me find a great local Tour guide to take me to Kazbegi! I appreciated very much her willingness to help and kindness!
