We rijden ongeveer 43 kilometer naar Anakulam via de Lekshmi-berg (weg). Het onuitgesproken gevoel van schoonheid en sereniteit ontmoeten elkaar in een bosachtig gesloten dorp genaamd Aanakulam. Olifanten duiken hier op in grote sociale groepen in menselijke bewoonde gebieden, wat iets unieks is aan deze schilderachtige plek. Twee zijrivieren van Periyaar, namelijk Idacholayaar en Nallatanniyaar, bevochtigen en voeden dit land. Toegankelijkheid is afhankelijk van jeepservice Iedereen kan genieten van olifantenkuddes binnen een afstand van 50 meter. Anakulam is een amfitheater omringd door reservaatbossen. Het heeft een hoge uniciteit vanwege geografische, klimatologische en culturele rijkdom. De van Muthuvans en Hill Pulayas zijn op zichzelf al suigeneris. It was a hole day tour and it was truly one of our highlights in India. Our guide and driver Ganesh was really kind and patient with us and told us so many things about the local life and nature. On the way we got to have a relaxing walk through the rolling hills of tea plantage. Ganesh was waiting for us with tea and biscuits. The Waterfalls, bamboo forest, tiger cave were as exciting. We couldn't do the river crossing in the jeep due to the weather but we weren't too sad about it, as there were enough amazing things to see and do during the day. But the most incredible thing was to see the wild elephants coming to the water spring in the evening. If you decide to take that tour, ask specifically for the tour guide Ganesh and you won't regret!

Good experience Mr Ganesh is the driver and guide He is very knowledgeable and reliable When we visited elephants were not present he waited for long time till 9:00 pm untill the elephants arrive and we experience the same.

The tour was amazing. The scenery in and around Munnar is incredible and a much needed rest from the big city hassle of other parts of the country. Our guide gave us great explanations of all plants and its harvesting. We were a bit unlucky as 2 places were closed due to weather alerts in the area and we did not see any elephants. But as far as the actual tour and guide goes it was a 10/10 experiences. Our favorite tour in India so far.

Everything about this tour was amazing! The views were spectacular and the weather was perfect. We stopped for lunch and the chicken was very tasty (the rest of the food was quite spicy 😅). Unfortunately, we didn't get to see any elephants, even after waiting for 2 hours. However, it was still a very beautiful experience and one that we would definitely recommend.

Some really lovely views and our guide Jeeba was a decent driver which makes a difference on the windy roads. We didn't see any elephants on this occasion but you can't schedule nature so thats okay (did see a snake though). Only downside was that we asked them to drop us off at our hotel as it was on the way back. Maybe a 2km detour max and they charged an extra 1200 ruppees which was poor form from the tour company.
It was a truly fantastic and most exciting trip! We were very happy to see so many elephants during the safari. The guide Mr.Ranjith was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He ensured a very safe and comfortable journey throughout the trip, and he explained everything clearly and interestingly. What impressed us most was his patience and care — he waited until the last sighting and made sure we had the best experience possible. Overall, it was an unforgettable adventure with excellent service, safe driving, and wonderful memories. Highly recommended!
