We ontmoeten elkaar op een centraal gelegen, gemakkelijk bereikbaar punt in de buurt van het Alhambra. We beginnen onze reis naar de plek waar de sultans vrede zochten. We betreden het Generalife Paleis, een oase van water, licht en weelderige vegetatie. We zijn getuige van de Patio de la Acequia, waar de hydraulische vindingrijkheid van de Nasriden een ongeëvenaard visueel en akoestisch spektakel creëert. The truth is that despite the heat and more than 4 hours of touring, it was very enjoyable thanks to José Antonio's guidance, his anecdotes, and telling the history of the Alhambra in an entertaining way. Beautiful experience

If you are staying in Granada city take a taxi to the Alhambra as it's uphill. The walk back through the tree lined pathway is a lovely stroll. We had a lovely tour guide, Natalia. The tour was very interesting. The Alhambra, it's gardens and views are breathtaking. Don't miss this if you are staying in or near Granada.

Enrique told us passionately about the Alhambra and its turbulent history! Thank you. We had a lovely air conditioned van. Would recommend booking early to get the Nasrid palace tickets but we still had an amazing tour.

Day started well, we arrived at the meeting point early, driver arrived and checked everyone's names off a list and we set off for Alhambra from Malaga. We were told we would not have free time in Granada as there was a race going on in the town that day, not a problem, we had breakfast at a restaurant outside the Alhambra. Tour guide met us at the designated meeting point and we took the guided tour of both the Alhambra & the Palace. Tour finished at 3.20pm & that is when the tour guide left, telling us to be at the meeting point for the return journey at 3.45pm. We went for a cold drink & then arrived at the meeting point at exactly 3.45pm as I checked my watch, there was no sign of the bus but just presumed it had been held up in traffic. After about 15 minutes was getting a bit concerned & at that point noticed that there was no-one we recognised from our bus in the morning. I then phoned Viator who tried phoning Discovering Spain but said they didn't answer and they would send an email. I waited for a response, at 4.22pm I started to get Whatsapp messages from Discovering Spain. They said that the guide accompanied everyone to the meeting point and the driver did a checklist & didn't leave until 3.54pm. All of that was a lie as the guide left us outside the Alhambra at 3.20pm and if the driver had done a checklist he would have realised we weren't there. We arrived at 3.45pm so he couldn't have left at 3.54pm. Outcome was we were told there was nothing they could do & to find our own way back to Malaga at our expense. Will never book with this company again.

We understand how stressful it must have been to realize you had missed the return transfer. We would, however, like to clarify a few points. Our direct contact details were included on your Viator voucher and were also sent to you by both email and WhatsApp a few days before the tour, together with the full itinerary. In situations like this, contacting us directly is always the fastest way for us to provide immediate assistance. The scheduled departure time from the meeting point was 3:45 pm, meaning all participants were required to be there before that time. Unfortunately, your group was the only one that did not arrive for departure. As communicated previously, the guide and driver followed the standard procedures in place for the tour. The first notification we received regarding the issue came through an email from Viator approximately 45 minutes after the bus had already departed. Had we been informed directly and immediately when you were unable to locate the vehicle, there would have been a possibility of contacting the driver while still nearby. However, once the coach was already well on its way back to Málaga, turning around was no longer a viable option for the rest of the passengers on board. While we sincerely regret this unfortunate situation and understand your frustration, we cannot assume responsibility for the transportation costs resulting from a missed departure and a delayed notification. Nevertheless, we appreciate you sharing your experience and are sorry that this misunderstanding overshadowed what should have been a memorable visit to one of Spain’s most remarkable monuments. We had a good guide just for the five of us. Since two people were having difficulty with the French language who had booked (as there was no possibility of having a guide in Italian), she calmly switched to English which we all understood. She adapted the visit to our specific needs.

An AMAZING place to see! Not ideal for children under 13 years of age. Our tour guide’s technology was not the best with the headphones intermittently working and had a Spanish accent that at times made it difficult to understand.

For us it was the perfect decision - everything worked out great. The bus transfer from Malaga and back was very pleasant and punctual - and our tour of the Alhambra including Nasrid palaces was very good. Mercedes our guide was very competent, always needed us in the right places (also for photos ) and brought the story of the Alhambra alive through your explanations. - She was also super nice and empathetic. - for us it was a perfect day!
