Perfetto per gli amanti della fauna selvatica, questo tour offre molte opportunità per vedere le creature selvatiche nel loro elemento. Se stai cercando di esplorare la selvaggia costa occidentale di Vancouver Island senza andare troppo lontano dalla città, considera la possibilità di visitare la costa sud-occidentale. Meglio di Tofino, più vicino alla città, adatto alle famiglie e pronto all'avventura. Una volta che ti veniamo a prendere alle 8 del mattino, si parte per la West Coast per alcune escursioni tonificanti ed esplorazioni costiere. Faremo una sosta al maestoso Jurassic Grove. Lì, puoi assistere a cedri rossi occidentali di 1000 anni, tra cui alberi grandi 3,6 metri! Sulla via del ritorno, vedremo altre 2 belle spiagge, adatte per l'abilità del tuo gruppo. Ci fermeremo a Mystic Beach, Sandcut Beach o Muir Creek Beach. Tutti hanno bellissime caratteristiche di arenaria e si potrebbe anche assistere a balene che attraversano lo stretto, leoni marini, foche e lontre che navigano sulla spiaggia o si crogiolano al sole, fossili di milioni di anni e cascate!

Questa bellissima strada si snoda attraverso passi di montagna, fiumi e canyon. Questa è la strada che ci porterà a destinazione e di nuovo a casa, ma non sottovalutarne la bellezza e il fascino. Il viaggio vale la pena e presenta molte belle soste veloci.
Passando per il sentiero Juan de Fuca, entreremo in Jurassic Grove. Questo magnifico boschetto di Alberi Antichi è come fare un salto indietro nel tempo di 10.000 anni, dopo l’ultima glaciazione. L'antica foresta pluviale di questo boschetto è davvero magica, e nulla è paragonabile ai cedri dell'isola di Vancouver. Qui si possono ammirare alberi di cedro di 1000 anni nella loro imponenza, alcuni raggiungono i 90 metri di altezza e oltre 3 metri di larghezza. Questo è un sentiero backcountry e la tua guida ti porterà attraverso questo gioiello nascosto in modo sicuro e ti fornirà questa esperienza unica, poiché siamo l'unico operatore sull'Isola ad esplorare questo con i visitatori.
Pranzeremo in questo fantastico bar e ci godremo un po' di tempo libero, una pausa per il bagno e l'accesso wifi tra un'avventura e l'altra. Presentano anche una piccola selezione di libri e souvenir.
Sandcut Beach è un parco giochi per persone di tutte le età. Dai più piccoli ai più esperti, questa spiaggia di sabbia e ghiaia presenta una bellissima cascata a doppia intestazione. Superata la cascata, la bassa marea può offrire pozze di marea da esplorare con cozze più grandi della tua mano e anemoni che coprono le rocce. Un gigantesco driftlog è il perfetto photo op, e le acque a cascata, che si protendono dalla scogliera, sono ideali per scivolare indietro per uno sguardo e un'occhiata dietro la caduta.
Quest’ultima tappa è dove gusteremo il nostro pranzo in compagnia delle foche del porto, cuocendo al sole.Mentre mangiamo il nostro pasto, le foche sonnecchieranno sugli scogli al largo della spiaggia e se saremo fortunati potremmo catturarle anche all’ora di pranzo. Queste foche (e a volte anche le Lontre) godono della foresta di alghe e delle coste rocciose dove pesci, anguille e molluschi si nascondono prima di diventare uno spuntino. Ammira il nido di un'aquila calva sugli alberi e aspetta la loro melodia morbida che annuncia il loro decollo in aria per un po 'di volo e pesca.

I was looking for an affordable car and driver tour for myself for a specific photo adventure around the Port Renfrew area and although the date I needed was unavailable Noemie was able to slip me into another couple's tour for a tag along. Perfect! Driving was super safe, the choice of meal stop was excellent, and I managed to see exactly what I needed in the full day. I would book with her again and I would definitely splurge for a private solo tour next time, it would be worth it. Very knowledgeable, with interesting tidbits on nature and history. Very accommodating! Even last minute extras thrown in.
My wife and I came here and had a fantastic time! Noemie is a wonderful guide who is knowledgeable about the beaches and forests we visited. With her as our guide, we visited three different stops that were not even on our radar when planning our vacation. The beaches were beautiful and rugged. The forests were peaceful and serene. Our guide Noémie gave my husband and I an unforgettable day on the West Coast. We did three different hikes and visited Botanical Beach, a “grove” with very old redwood trees and Mystic Beach with a waterfall ending on the beach. Noémie had incredible botanical expertise that she shared with us. She also had a friendly, reserved manner and responded individually to our wishes and needs. We really enjoyed this beautiful and very personal tour despite small language barriers and can recommend it wholeheartedly.

Noemie is a rare find and her knowledge of nature and geology was incredible. A natural and gifted person who would answer all questions with depth and clear explanation. We loved the rock pools and waterfall on Day 1 and listening to the waves on beach when camping was absolute joy. Day 2 was the 3rd tallest Tree and caving for us. Going back to the UK with lots of new information. Check this tour company out for 1st class service and knowledge when visiting Vancouver Island. You will not be disappointed.
