As ever, the folks at Eagle Wing were friendly, professional, and went above and beyond for a magnificent tour! We saw dozens of humpback whales, plus also a huge sea lion, bald eagles, and the rare and beautiful Vancouver Island coastline. Naturalist Carol, Sam, and Kyle were friendly and helpful. Captain Evan did an amazing job angling the boat so we could clearly see the whales while maintaining a safe distance from them so as not to disturb them. I've been out with this company nearly a dozen times over the years; I will never choose another organization!
Thank you! Nearly a dozen tours and still choosing Eagle Wing, Woo-Hoo!! We really appreciate your kind words and wonderful review. We look forward to welcoming you back another dozen times ;) All the best, Tianda
We got to see humpback whales, orcas, and some sea lions among other wildlife. Super fun, and the coats they provided really made a difference because it can get chilly out there. Recommend bringing a snack or two.
Thank you! So glad you had an incredible tour, even with the cold weather! brr! Happy the coats helped, and yes, snacks are always a great recommendation! Thanks again, we'd love to welcome you back someday. All the best, Tianda
Unlike anything I’ve seen before. Saw way more whales than I would've expected! Definitely good bang for your buck we were on the water for hours it was beautiful. Rode with Molly, Emma, Jennifer, and Captain Joe! Would absolutely go again given the chance, highly recommend.
Thank you! We're so glad it was good bang for your buck and that the whole experience felt like something new. We'd love to welcome you aboard again. All the best, Tianda
Cap. Trev and Tilly were amazing very knowledgeable and extremely helpful.
Thank you! We're so glad Trev and Tilly were so knowledgeable and helpful out on the Salish Sea! Their passion for these waters is something we're proud of. We'd love to welcome you aboard again. All the best, Tianda
This was truly the best tour experience. Captain Evan, Sarah & Ryleigh we can't thank you enough. Your knowledge your kindness & your safety is what made our experience so memorable. We are so grateful we were able to see orcas !!!!! That was my dream & it came true. That moment when the orca came so close to the boat by the rock is probably the most beautiful site I've ever laid eyes on. The humpback & bald eagles & Sealian was such a bonus!!! Nature is SO beautiful & healing !!!! I highly recommend this experience & hope everyone gets a chance to see rhis in there lifetime.
Thank you! It means so much to hear that seeing orcas was a dream come true for you! When the engines are off and a curious whale decides to approach on its own terms, all we can do is embrace the moment. Just incredible. Thanks again for joining us and we'd love to welcome you aboard again. All the best, Tianda
This experience was priceless, you can’t put a valuation on the opportunity to see one of the world’s most powerful and enchanting creatures on Earth. It’s clear why Eagle Wing is considered the best in the area for this. The crew was incredibly accommodating, professional, and knowledgeable. But what separated this tour from others was the passion of our naturalists Lilli, Derek, and Keaton. They were brimming with knowledge, tips, and interesting facts well beyond expectations. That coupled with the skill and determination of our captain, created an unforgettable experience, the chance of a lifetime, to see one of nature’s most amazing creatures.
Thank you!! We truly love what we do and are o fortunate to have such an amazing team. Educating guests about the Salish Sea is seriously one of the best parts of the job. So glad it added up to a chance of a lifetime, and we'd love to welcome you aboard again. All the best, Tianda
This tour completely blew our minds! Not only did we see multiple fluke dives and water spouts, we saw 2 whales breach, and one actually swam directly underneath our boat our boat and bumped us hard enough that we could feel it! We were close enough on several occasions to hear their blow, and once were close enough to smell it. (Not particularly pleasant…what they are expelling in addition to to water vapor is “whale snot”). We saw a Stellars sea lion, several harbor seals, and a couple of otters. (No eagles, though🙁) The crew were first of all, safety conscious, and demonstrated safety procedures much like airline cabin crew before takeoff. They were very knowledgeable, and willing to share their information. There were actually 2 crew members who were naturalists, and one member who is the official guardian of wildlife in a large area, living on a remote island for November thru February. Shout outs to Jo and Derrick, with kudos to all other crew members whose name I cannot remember. This tour, crew, and company is totally amazing. Were I to return to Victoria sometime in the future, I would use them again.
Thank you! Encounters like that are rare. When a curious whale comes in that close we cut all engines and let them lead, both for everyone's safety and to protect the animals. So glad it made for such a memorable day, and that the crew's care and knowledge stood out. We'd love to welcome you aboard again if you're ever back in Victoria. All the best, Tianda
This was our third time out with Eagle Wing and it has never failed to impress. All the crew - Derek, Joanne, Carole and Rod - are extremely professional and engaging, they obviously love what they do which makes the experience so amazing. They know the area so well and love to share what they know about all of the sea life, the history of both the area and the whales and other wildlife the four hours goes by so quickly and it's both humbling and exhilarating. We were lucky to be able to pick up a floating mylar balloon too and learn about the dangers these cause to the environment and the sea life.
We Booked Eagle Wings Tours for our management retreat. Eagle Wings shares my companies philosophy on sustainability and are a great example of a local Vancouver Island company walking the walk. The tour was incredible and was enhanced by the guides Tom and Laura and Captain Trev. They were fantastic!! I will be booking this tour again and highly recommend this for team building.
Thank you so much for this wonderful review! It means a lot to hear that our commitment to sustainability resonated with you and your team, walking the walk really is at the heart of what we do. We are so glad the tour made for such a memorable retreat, and that our crew helped make the day special. Thanks for choosing Eagle Wing, and we would love to welcome you and your team back any time. All the best, Tianda

Thank you! So glad it was fantastic from start to finish, and that the humpbacks and sea otters made for a memorable day. It is wonderful to hear the crew and the facilities aboard added so much to the experience. Worth every penny is exactly what we love to hear. Come see us again out on the Salish Sea!
