We have a great time! I am so thankful they took extra time for us to go a bit further and see the Orcas. We had a great crew, and was very thankful for the chance to be under the cover for some of it - I even used a toque and I thought we came well prepared for cold wind!
Was a fun day. It was a little cold but we expected that. Very nice clear day and we saw a lot of whales. Went to two different spots and the captain worked hard to get to two areas with one being quite far. Great tour.
It was easy to book our trip on TripAdvisor. The boat left right on time. Our crew of Captain Ron, Derek, Carol, and Jo were great. We saw many, many whales. We saw a small pod of orcas from a distance, and then on our way back we encountered a large group of humpback whales that were all feeding. Everywhere you looked, you could see a whale coming out of the water to feed, a spout of water being blown by a whale, or a whale tail as the whale dove back into the water. It was magnificent. Our crew was very knowledgeable and personable. We had a great time!
Absolutely amazing. Staff were great, we saw 50+ whales. Couldn’t believe it. Would do it again, a thousand times over
We went on a half day semi covered tour from Victoria and had the BEST time. The number of whales we saw and how close they got to the boat totally exceeded our expectations. We also saw a bald eagle, seals and sea lions. Lili, Tilly and Laura were brilliant hosts and made sure everyone made room for one another, it never felt too crowded on board and we learned lots of cool whale facts. Loved it!
Great day on the water. Humpbacks were sighted and enjoyed. What a privilege! Guides gave great information about local population as well as overall general wildlife information. Would definitely recommend and I would go again
This tour exceeded our expectations! We chose the semi covered boat sunset tour. It was a cool day with a little bit of rain so being able to take a break from the wind and spray was great. We were with a small child and some older folks and they appreciated the shelter. Captain Rod, Jo, Derek, Keaton and Clint were very professional. They provided a safety briefing, answered any questions anyone had and gave us so much information on what we saw. We followed the thorough instructions they provided on how to dress and they also provided additional jackets and hats in case anyone needed them. Even though it was the end of June it was VERY cool out on the water. While the tour guides can't control what wildlife is around that day, they certainly found us a show. We saw so many Biggs Killer Whales almost right away. Then I heard the Captain radio that we were on to bigger things and a few minutes later we were surrounded by Humpback Whales. The tour was very respectful of the distance that they are required to keep from the whales but the whales decided they were curious that day and we saw some come quite close to the boat. We also got to see some Harbour Seals and Steller Sea Lions. It was incredible.
I stayed at Victoria Falls backpacker Lodge for a few days. It’s a real artsy type place that is beautifully decorated. They have individual rooms with anoutdoor kitchen area as well. Blessing, who is the manager, was extremely helpful with local attractions, travelling within Zimbabwe/Zambia. Great place to relax and unwind complete with swimming pool.
All three ladies (Emma, Joe and ?) and the captain Pitt and superb. Very knowledgeable and told us lots of fun facts. Highly recommended
My family really enjoyed this experience. Even though there were more people on board the boat than we expected, there was enough staff on board to explain to everyone about the whales, the animals, birds and the surrounding area in smaller groups. They were very knowledgeable about the environment. The boat was also well-equipped to keep everyone comfortable from the on-board toilets to the blankets, binoculars, jackets, gloves and snacks (for purchase).
