Victoria Sunset Whale-Watching Cruise

The sunset tour was great. We seen a family of orca whales and 2 hump back whales.

Wow- what a trip. We went as a family of five. Two adults and three teenagers from 14 to 18. From booking to finish the trip was easy to organise, find and experience. The sunset trip was beautiful and we were lucky enough to see eagles, sea lions, humpback whale and a family Of orcas. The captain gave us lots and lots of time watching the whales - more time than other boats in the area. The crew were so knowledgeable and even encouraged extra time watching the whales giving us a fabulous experience. When we got back we were welcomed with hot chocolate which was lovely. Coats, trousers, hat and gloves were also provided.

Our whale watching tour with Eagle Wing was hands down one of the highlights of our trip to Victoria! The crew was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the wildlife and the surrounding area. We loved that they shared so much information throughout the tour while making sure everyone had a great experience. Seeing whales in their natural habitat was absolutely unforgettable, and the views alone made the trip worthwhile. If you're visiting Victoria, I highly recommend adding this tour to your itinerary!

I have been on 2 other whale watch tours where I have seen dolphins and humpback whales. This is the first time I saw orcas and so many!

One of the coolest experiences of my entire life. Their open-air boat is faster and has a longer range than most (if not all) of the other whale tours, so you spend less time transiting and more time actually looking at the whales. Also an astonishingly smooth ride. I thought it would be like skittering along in a wake boat at full speed but it feels more like being in an airplane with occasional turbulence. 10/10 recommend the open air boat unless it’s literally raining. The staff is fantastic. Friendly and very knowledgeable. Literally knew the names, ages, and history of the whales we found by subtle differences in the shape of their dorsal fins and saddle patches. If it’s a clear day, go at sunset. It’s absolutely magical. Golden hour lighting adds a lot to the overall experience and makes for some incredible photos. Overall we spent at least an hour actively watching whales surface and hunt for seals, of which there were many nearby. Everything was MUCH closer than I imagined. At one point the whales swam toward us and got within 20 meters (of note, the tour guides can’t approach them that close, but even at the “safe” distance we had an awesome view). The coats, pants, hats, and gloves they provided were clean, in good repair, and kept us very warm and comfortable. If you have your own binoculars, bring them. They have enough binoculars onboard for about half the boat, and they’re kind of small. Thanks to Captain Brett, Sydney, Molly, Selena, and Jess for an unforgettable experience! Truly the highlight of our week-long trip to Victoria.

What an amazing experience, Captain Brett, Sydney, Molly, Selena + Jess were all amazing and so knowledgeable. We spent just over 3 hours on the water and saw Orcas, Bald Eagles, Harbour seals and much more!! It was a brilliant size boat as you could move around to get a better view + it never felt crowded even with 25 of us !! The sunset towards the end was magical as we saw the orcas swim away!! They had hats and mittens available when the temperature dropped + hot chocolates on arrival back to the pier( just what you need) !! All the crew were very dedicated to making sure we had an awesome time but also to educate us about the conservation work they do and how we can do our small part to protect wildlife. I couldn’t recommend this enough!! 10/10 experience from the moment we arrived, we will definitely be back!!!

Carol and Hannah were excellent guides on our tour. Captain Trev took us close to San Juan island where we saw two pods of orcas, one of which was hunting a sea lion! The guides were really knowledgeable and shared lots of information about orca behaviour and the different groups that we might see. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would highly recommend!

Wonderful experience. It was a very rough sea, but the whales were super active. Emma said they seem to like rough seas. There were several full breaches. Didn't catch those on camera, but got some good shots. All the crew were great Sarah, Jo, and Emma are the only names I can remember. It was the highlight of our vacation
