When I booked this service, my expectation was a Mercedes because that’s what the booking reflected. I receive a phone call yesterday indicating it’s not a Mercedes and I would be charged more. I agreed and today the driver did contact us. Expected a meet and great service in the hall showing our name which we did not get. While the driver was nice he mentioned that his vehicle was broken down and then he said he was getting us another vehicle. He put us in a BMW little did I know he called an Uber for us. This was definitely not the experience I expected not worth the money and I could’ve ordered my own Uber.
Punctual. Courteous. Reliable. Kept me well informed where and how we would meet upon my arrival. Thanks.
The service was fine (once a driver arrived to take us to our destination). It should be made clear when booking that it is a not the type of service where a private driver meets you inside the terminal and takes you to a car to drive you to your destination. It is a taxi representative whom you telephone once you have your bags and who then finds you inside the terminal to show you to an outdoor location (where we stood for 10+ minutes in chilly weather) to wait for your driver to arrive.
Jim was our driver and was the very best! Clearly communicated via WhatsApp and we knew exactly what to do and where to go when we arrived to meet him. Car was very clean and comfortable and he gave us many tips and insights about Edinburgh! The whole experience from booking to the actual ride was very seamless thanks to Viator. Highly recommend.
Money taken from account for payment two days before service due. No service delivered. Called, told they could see booking but couldn't help. No refund, paid fir own taxi to transport. Written to them 4 times no reply except now asking for a review. You must be kidding.
Our driver was very nice, and he gave us great tips on what to see as he drove us to our hotel. Car was very clean.
Luggage service at Edinburgh Airport was extremely slow (45 minutes), but we were contacted by phone and reassured that our driver (Adnand) would wait for us. Very satisfied.
The deal cost a lot. I arrived as schedule, but it took about two hours to get the suit cases, which is not reasonable but expected after the Covid. Taking to the driver about an hour after landing she told me that she would charge me more for waiting and finally I told her to leave. She said to charge e extra 26 pound for waiting and parking fee. At the end I took a taxi from the airport and paid only 26 pound to the hotel which is 25% of the viator cost with the extra. Our driver, Ali, was very polite and waited patiently for us as we dealt with a lost luggage issue at baggage reclaim. We appreciated his understanding.
Driver there right on time with a clean,organized vehicle. So nice to not have to deal with another form of transportation after a long transatlantic flight.
