La prima tappa dell'itinerario è l'Arco di Charents - monumento-punto panoramico del Monte Ararat biblico. Successivamente, il Tempio pagano di Garni - unico tempio pagano ellenistico in piedi nella regione del Caucaso, risalente al I secolo d.C. - costruito come tempio al dio del sole Mihr (Mitra). Nel territorio si trova anche uno stabilimento balneare romano ben conservato. Il Monastero di Geghard o Ayrivank è un importante monumento architettonico, storico e religioso in Armenia. La maggior parte del monastero è scolpita all'interno di una roccia combinata con l'architettura del IV-X secolo del Rinascimento armeno. Il monastero di Geghard fa parte del patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO insieme all'Alta Valle Azat. """

Il Tempio di Garni (77 d.C.) - la prima tappa - è l'unico tempio in piedi in tutta l'area post-sovietica. Garni sorge con grazia su un altopiano che domina la gola del fiume Azat. Vedrai anche le terme romane con il misterioso mosaico, composto da 30.000 pezzi di pietre naturali, così come le rovine del palazzo reale del III secolo d.C.
Garni Gorge è una splendida attrazione naturale situata in Armenia, vicino al villaggio di Garni. È anche conosciuta come la "Sinfonia delle pietre" per le sue formazioni rocciose uniche che creano una bella sinfonia di colori e forme. * La visita alla Sinfonia dei Sassi è soggetta alle condizioni meteorologiche.
La tappa successiva del tour è il complesso monastico di Geghard. Tradotto in inglese come “Monastero della Sacra Lancia”, si riferisce alla lancia con cui Longino trafisse Gesù. Successivamente portato in Armenia e conservato nel monastero di Geghard per 5 secoli. La parte più sorprendente è la virtù dell'architetto, che ha scavato la chiesa nella solida roccia pur considerando tutte le regole dell'architettura armena.

We had a great experience. The tour guide was very informative and we had many opportunities to stop on the drive to take photos and try some fresh lavash bread. Geghard was very crowded and amenities are not great, so better to use bathroom before travelling there. Garni was also excellent as well as the gorge which looks like the organ pipes. Tour was not rushed at all.

Edgar was an extraordinary host. We saw all shades of autumn on our way, an extremely beautiful view of Mount Ararat, a beautifully guided trip to the Garni Temple, the symphony of stones is a natural marvel that can't be told or written about, it must be witnessed with one's own eyes, and then finally visited Geghard, where Edgar showed us the symbolism and the history of the place. I must say, anyone taking the tour needs to take it with a guide, as you truly understand what each and every place represents and why it's something of value. We booked it last minute and the driver picked us up from the hotel lobby. He didn’t speak much English, but he tried and he made the experience very pleasant. We enjoyed the sites and loved the “gata” cakes he recommended. Altogether it took around 4 hours, and it was just what we needed. Thanks again to our driver, he was one of the nicest people we met in our trip to Armenia.
