Il fascino e la perla dell'Armenia montana è il Lago Sevan, che è uno dei più grandi laghi d'acqua dolce ad alta quota del mondo. Si trova a circa 1900 m sul livello del mare. Il lago è di origine vulcanica ed è circondato da montagne di 3000 me higer. Lo splendido paesaggio e l'acqua cristallina servono piacevoli presupposti per un riposo eccellente.Il lago è anche famoso per la sua penisola e il complesso di chiese medievali costruito nell'874.
Una scena meravigliosa si apre nella parte nord-occidentale del Lago Sevan, dove la penisola domina la superficie trasparente del lago. Il monastero di Sevanavank fu costruito sulla penisola nell'874 per ordine della principessa Mariam, figlia del re Ashot Bagratuni. La sagoma delle chiese sullo sfondo del lago turchese e del cielo blu genera un'impressione inspiegabile sui visitatori.

It was a light trip, which fitted our needs for the last day of our Armenian experience. The lake is beautiful.
I am choosing Huyr Service for 3 years and glad that quality is the best and haven't changed along this period. This time I took a tour to Sevan (3rd time). Thanks to our driver Khachatur we got here fast and have enough time to visit all the places. And our professional guide Akop made the journey educational and fun!

We had a wonderful day exploring Armenia with Tamara as our tour guide and Karen as our driver. Both were in a great mood throughout the trip, incredibly helpful, attentive, and always eager to make sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying the experience. The highlights of the tour were beautiful Lake Sevan, the impressive monasteries, and the delicious cheese tasting. Everything was well organized, and Tamara shared interesting information and stories along the way, making the journey even more enjoyable. We had a fantastic half day tour to lake Sevan, ou driver Jova was very patiently and picked us even a bit earlier at the hotel. The bus was new and very comfortable, this is important for a family. I recommend them!
