You simply cannot go to Scotland and not visit the Scottish highlands. Troy, our driver, was a wonderful guide and took us to see coos, castles, lochs and mountains during our day long adventure. The tour exceeded our expectations and was a highlight of our trip.

Troy made our adventure so special. We wanted to see the Eilean Donan Castle and make various stops along the way. He asked a lot of questions and curated the perfect day! So attentive to our experience. He took pictures and videos to share with us after the trip. He even found a cemetery to stop at that was mostly our ancestors! Thanks Troy for an unforgettable day! Today exceeded our expectations! Our guide, Troy, made the trip so personal for us too. He taught us so many things while making us laugh. From the highland cows, castles, stunning Scotland countryside and lochs, it was truly magical. A trip that I, along with my kids and my mom, will never forget.

My family and I were on a 3 week trip, and had the pleasure of having Troy be our guide for the Scottish Highlands. We had expected some cows, castles, and didn’t know what else to expect, but we were met with one of the best days of our trip! We have three young kids (ages 4, 5 and 1). Troy provides clean, safe, almost new looking, and properly installed car seats. That was such a help and relief that our kids were safe and taken care of. The van was also very clean, and comfortable for our full day private tour. Troy catered the tour to our family and interests of the kids / complete with a playlist that the kids really enjoyed / they are still singing “oh Nessie” on repeat. We saw so much! And Troy was the best guide to explain about the history and geography of what we were seeing and doing. We really enjoyed the castles, and loved seeing all the cows and sheep up close. Getting to glencoe with the music Troy choose and his narration on what happened there and what that looked like, was magical. We tasted some whiskey while the kids enjoyed some chocolate treats. Perfect day! If you are looking for a private tour that the guide takes care of you, you learn and enjoy the sites while also having it personalized to your group - this is the one you want! 10/10

We enjoyed our tour with Troy so much. He picked us up promptly at our agreed time and offered us snacks and water in his comfortable vehicle. Troy played Scottish music for us and showed us many beautiful landscapes, adorable animals, a sheep herding demonstration, and many other hidden gems. I highly recommend this very personable and kind gentleman to show you the beautiful places of Scotland.

We had an amazing time during our day trip of the Scottish Highlands! Troy was punctual, responsive, and a very knowledgeable guide. We learned so much about Scotland and Scottish history during our tour, and somehow Troy packed in several lochs, a castle tour, a fantastic lunch in Inveraray, and a stunningly scenic drive through Rannach Moor to Glencoe. So happy I booked this tour, as we got to see & experience so much more of Scotland than we would otherwise. Thank you again Troy!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Troy and Caledonian tours. We just returned from Scotland on Saturday and this tour has been one of the highlights we’ve talked about ever since! This is our first time traveling internationally with our two kids ages 5 and 3 and we chose this tour because it offered the perfect mix of castles, outdoor stops, Scenic drives, and breaks throughout the day. From the moment that we started, Troy made our experience feel effortless. The vehicle was spotless stopped with water and snacks and even had the perfect Scottish playlist playing for the drive. We initially felt a little intimidated by booking a 10 hour tour with young kids, but it never once felt overwhelming. We were rarely in the car for more than an hour at a time and most of the day included stops every 30 to 45 minutes. The mix of gardens, Highland coos, and other wildlife sightings, castles, and charming local villages was absolutely perfect. Troy was incredibly knowledgeable and shared the history of each place we visited in such an engaging way. The balance of storytelling local conversation and quiet time during the drive was absolutely perfect. Most importantly he was absolutely wonderful with our children- patient, kind and understanding of their needs throughout the day. He always knew the best places to stop and give them time to roam and explore between destinations. Scotland was breathtakingly beautiful. I took over 1000 photos during the trip and a large portion of them were this day! We’ve already recommended Caledonian tours to several friends and we absolutely plan to return someday to see Troy and the beautiful Highland again. A great tour by Troy. The car was very comfortable and we enjoyed the Scottish treats on the way. We got the full Scottish weather experience featuring rain, wind, snow and clouds which I loved. The Highlands were cloudy so we missed the view but we enjoyed watching the snow as Troy skillfully drove us through. There were so many sites- the coos, castles, Kirks, Lochs,Kelpies and Troy shared lots of history with us about everything; luckily there was no test after. It was a wonderful day!

The best decision we made when visiting Scotland was booking this tour with Troy! We couldn’t have had a better time exploring Scotland while getting all the facts from Troy along the way. He really prioritized getting us to locations we favored and making each location a truly memorable experience. We were able to pack in so many sights and travel long distances with ease because of the setup that was provided. The van was very comfortable and spacious, had water, snacks, and plenty of opportunities to stop off for a bite or photos. Troy also takes great photos of the group, a true professional! Along the way, we met farm owners, locals, and people who had some connection with the area or sights we were seeing—and all just by way of coincidence! Honestly, will always remember doing this tour, and a large reason for that is because of Troy himself. A truly wonderful person and even better guide.

Troy was incredible! Communicative before the trip to ensure a day tailored to what my teenagers wanted to see in the Highlands. He knew so much history and lore. The best part was that Troy is actually the cow whisperer! He went above and beyond calling for the cows to come down the mountains which lead to about 7 cows magically appearing and us spending a half hour with them! The kids spent the day traversing the countryside peppering him with questions nonstop and Troy indulged all of them. The van was comfortable, clean and loaded with refreshments. We will definitely be booking him again on our next trip. He made our day truly memorable.
