My walking tour of the Jewish quarter in Krakow with Christopher was outstanding. For anybody interested in the history of WWII, the Jewish people in Poland, or learning about important aspects of Krakow's history, I highly recommend this tour. Christopher was an excellent, highly knowledgeable, engaging guide, and not only did he show me places which I did not know, but provided a lot of terrific information which was new to me. We had a great walk which was wonderful for me because I LOVE to walk, but this was a gentle, all flat walk which would be easy for most anybody. In particular, Christopher took me to Kazmierez, the old Jewish quarter, and Remuh Synagogue and cemetery. This was quite a surprise to me as I did not know they had survived the war bombings or Nazis. We also took a great walk through The Ghetto Heroes Square which I had never heard of. The art of the 33 standing chairs was deeply moving as was the guide's historic background and story connected to it. Finally, we visited the Krakow Ghetto pharmacy which was quite interesting as well. Overall, I highly recommend this tour--excellent and informative, and Christopher is a great guide.
For anybody truly, seriously interested in the history of Poland, WWII, and Jews in Krakow, I strongly recommend taking this tour with Christopher. Christopher was an outstanding, highly knowledgeable engaging guide, and I thoroughly enjoyed his tour. I learned a great deal and had a wonderful time walking all about Krakow. He was organized, clear, and showed me several notable sights connected to the history of the Jews in Krakow which I was unaware of. Most notable for me were the sights of Kazimierz, the old Jewish quarter, and Remuh synagogue and cemetery which were a complete surprise and very moving. Also of note was our visit to The Ghetto Heroes Square and the chairs (Plac Bohaterów Getta) which I had not heard of until he showed it to me--very powerful, moving history. We also visited the famous Krakow Ghetto pharmacy which was another story of the Jews in the Holocaust and Poland I was unaware of--and it is well worth visiting. In fact, after my tour with Christopher, I went back to visit Plac Bohaterów Getta a second time. I LOVE to walk, and while we did spent a long time (close to three hours) walking, there was nothing difficult or steep--all gentle, straightforward and flat. I strongly recommend taking Christopher's tour--a great history lesson and tour of Krakow combined.
My wife and I did the Private Krakow Jewish Quarter Tour including the Jewish Quarter and Kazimierz with Chris. We completely enjoyed our time with him. He's a wealth of knowledge about Krakow, Poland and Polish Jewish history. He paced his tours well, was always on time, easy going, patient with our many questions and easy to understand. We were grateful for his perfect English as we knew zero Polish. His prices were quite fair. In fact, we used Chris for 3 tours while we were in Krakow. We highly recommend him.
Very friendly guide, great tour. We learned a lot. We appreciated all of the valuable information and Christopher was a fantastic guide.
Chris was an excellent tour guide - knowledgeable and friendly. He answered all our questions. We wanted a private tour given the solemnity of the topic. Unknowingly, I booked both the Krakow City Tour and the Krakow Ghetto tour with Chris, spending the morning and afternoon with him which turned out fantastic. I highly recommend his tours.
Chris is a brilliant guide who gave us a fascinating and insightful walking tour of the Jewish Quarter in Krakow. He also drove us to Auschwitz for a private tour and arranged our visit to the Salt Mines. His knowledge of Krakow and all it has to offer is encyclopedic and he is delightful company. All three of his restaurant recommendations were exceptional and we would certainly engage him again when we next come visit this region of Poland.
My son and I found ourselves with 4 hrs spare before our flight left krakow and thought we would try and find someone to do a Jewish area tour, at short notice Chris was able to meet us at our hotel and gave us the most amazingly informative tour of the Jewish area his knowledge was true ly amazing and delivered with such a lovely manner whilst we walked together. I could not recommend his tour more highly. Thanks again Chris Damian and Felix
Chris is an excellent and Knowledgable guide. He met us at our hotel for this walking tour of the Kracow Jewish quarter and we added a Tour of Schindlers Factory as well. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area and its history, he pointed out many of the buildings where famous people had lived and gave very detailed historical facts about the area. We moved around at a steady pace and we were not rushed at all. After a full tour of the Jewish Quarter we went onto the Jewish Ghetto and Chris explained the events that happened there fully. On leaving the Hero’s Place we went across the way to Schindlers Factory were Chris had arranged our entry beforehand. He accompanied us throughout the building explaining fully as we went along. Again a very informative and well researched tour was had. Chris is an excellent guide and we would recommend his reasonably priced tour services. We also used Chris the following day to ferry us to Auscwitz/Birkeneu in the morning, then he took us to the Salt Mines near to Kracow in the afternoon, before returning us to the hotel in the Old Town. Chris was not able to guide us on the tours but on the way to both locations he was a mind of information and facts , pointing out various locations en route.
We had an excellent and informative tour of the Krakow Jewish Quarter. The amount of detailed information we were given by our guide was amazing. It was very moving to learn about the history of Krakow during World War 2. Excellent tour.
Extremely interesting tour with Christopher who was knowledgeable and helped us explore the Jewish Quarter . We learnt so much and found the tour very moving and informative. We can really recommend Christopher as an amazing guide .
