Khor Virap - Monastero armeno, costruito nel 642, tradotto dall'armeno significa "buco profondo". Khor Virap è uno dei santuari della Chiesa apostolica armena, un luogo di pellegrinaggio. Il fatto più interessante di questo monastero è il fatto che fu costruito sul sito della prigione reale, dove Gregorio l'illuminatore era stato precedentemente imprigionato - il santo patrono e il primo capo ufficiale della Chiesa apostolica armena dal re armeno per 13 anni . Dal territorio del monastero si ha una vista insolita sul monte biblico Ararat.
Farai una sosta fotografica vicino al bacino idrico di Azat. È uno dei bacini più belli della Repubblica di Armenia. Si trova nella regione di Ararat ed è piuttosto vicino al magico tempio di Garni. Il monastero di Geghard è una delle più grandi strutture architettoniche medievali in Armenia. Geghard è completamente scavato in una grotta, è anche chiamato un "monastero rupestre". Questo monastero fu fondato nel IV secolo d.C. al posto della fonte sacra, originaria della grotta. Il nome del complesso monastico Geghard (lancia) deriva dalla lancia di Langin, che trafisse il corpo di Gesù Cristo sulla croce. Al momento questa lancia è conservata nel museo di Etchmiadzin. Il complesso monastico Geghard è incluso nella lista del patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO.
Il tempio pagano di Garni fu costruito nella seconda metà del I secolo dal re Trdat III. Questo è l'unico tempio pagano, che è stato conservato sul territorio dell'Armenia. Dopo l'adozione del cristianesimo divenne la residenza estiva di Khosrovadukht, sorella del re Trdat III. Fu distrutto nel 1679 da un terremoto. Parti, frammenti di graziose colonne e pietre murali furono sparse attorno al tempio. Si presume che il tempio fosse dedicato a Mitra, il Dio del sole.
Charents Arch si trova vicino a Yerevan, tra il tempio pagano di Garni e il complesso del monastero cristiano di Geghard nel villaggio di Vokhchaberd. An individual tour was booked with her husband at the travel agency Jan Armenia. Driver Carlen arrived ahead of schedule, graciously placed a Mercedes in the interior. We were accompanied to all locations by Carlen and issued historical reports on them. The trip was very enjoyable, we brought with us a huge number of experiences. Armenia surprised with its flavor. We booked a one-day private tour covering Khor Virap Monastery, Azat Reservoir, Garni Temple, the Symphony of Stones, and Geghard Monastery, and we truly enjoyed every moment. The staff and responsible manager Luiza were very responsive on WhatsApp, answering all our questions promptly. On the day of the tour, our driver Davit was professional and shared interesting information about the sites. The brand-new vehicle with A/C and WiFi was a real lifesaver during the hot summer.
