Great Tour of Edinburgh, off the busy roads

What a fantastic tour! The guide was amazing and the route was spectacular. We truly loved the history our guide shared as well as his personal anecdotes about the area. I would recommend this trip to anyone looking to see more of the area around Edinburgh.

E-Bike Excellence in Edinburgh!

We had a great time with our guides Ginn and Chris who took us a terrific tour! The E bikes were perfect, and we stopped at some terrific areas. We were provided historical context with beautiful views of the surrounding area. We were lucky to see King Charles and Princess, William and Princess Edward leaving Holyrood castle for an event at Giles cathedral! I highly recommend this excellent tour for anyone visiting Edinburgh!

Highly Recommend!!

We had the absolute best time with our guide Leanne! She kept it fun while still teaching us as we rode. The sights were beautiful. This was definitely a highlight of our trip.

Lovely Scenic Bike Ride

Excellent bike ride today was very easy to uber from the port. Nice break from all cruise tours where you are trapped on buses. Our cruise landed in Queens Ferry and was a quick uber to the bike shop. Our guide was lovely and very knowledgeable. The bike ride was smooth and even with strong winds manageable. Highly recommended

Not given e-bike & yet denied refund

Not permitted to ride but denied refund! 4 of us for e-bike tour of Edinburgh. No others. I was denied the use of the e-bike other than a 5 min practice since I hadn’t ridden in ages. The 3 others went without me. The woman running it was TERRIBLE! Found out the bikes are new so that may have been a factor. No refund when it was not my decision is indefensible. Will never use this company again because they refused to refund the approximately $100 for my ticket.

Risposta dell'operatore

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Safety is our top priority on all of our tours. Before departure, we gave you 15 minutes to become comfortable with the bike and assess whether you could ride safely. During that time, it became clear that you were unable to start, stop, and control the bike safely enough to participate in a group cycling tour. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide cycling lessons before a scheduled tour, and all participants must be able to ride a bicycle confidently and safely. The condition or age of the e-bikes was not a factor in this decision. As stated in the tour terms and conditions on Viator, participants who are unable to ride safely may be denied participation, and refunds cannot be provided on the day of the tour. Your husband and the rest of your group chose to continue with the tour and, as noted, enjoyed the experience. At no point did we feel it would be safe or responsible to allow you to join the ride. While we understand your disappointment, our decision was made solely with the safety of you, the other guests, and the guide in mind. We wish you all the best and hope you enjoyed the rest of your time in Edinburgh.

Nice way to start the trip.

Lovely bike ride with knowledgeable guide. We liked the personal attention and it was beautiful day. The cafe connected to the bike shop was also good. We got a lot of good info from Jill about the community and the native animals.

A wonderful ride with a wonderful guide

This was a wonderful way to see a bit of Edinburgh and one that I recommend to anyone visiting Edinburgh. Leann (and assistant Joe) were wonderful. They helped us prepare for the bike ride and gave us a quick but informative introduction to how to use the bikes. Then they took us on a beautiful 2.5 hour ride around Arthur’s Seat, Hollywood Palace, and Craigmillar Castle. The ride was easy (gotta love the Boost mode for uphills) and it was the perfect balance of beautiful scenery and history. Leann was friendly, open to answering questions and she even took lots of pictures of us along the way, What makes this trip even more wonderful is that it is connected to a community center and some of the proceeds from the ride go support that community center. There is a garden affiliated with it and a cafe which used vegetables from the garden. Leann even teaches children and adults to ride bikes as well as part of a program there. So, you have a great experience and you are serving a good cause. (I don’t know why that isn’t advertised more). Thanks for a memorable experience!

Take a ride!

If you are looking for some exercise, great views of Edinburgh, Scotland, learning about the history of the area and being guided by two wonderfulguides, book this tour immediately! The three of us had a wonderful afternoon, despite the rain. The bikes were in tiptop shape, and our guideswere very mindful of the fact that not everybody was an Olympic rider! It was an amazing time and ended all too soon!

Fantastic trip

Leanne was our guide and she was fantastic. She was very informative without being overbearing. We were a group of 3 couples all aged 50-60 the bikes were easy to use and we didn’t need the power mode until the climb up to Arthur’s seat. The trip was 2.5 hrs long and we rode around 10 miles. The views are stunning at the top. Leanne told us many interesting facts and obviously loves her job. We were talking about the trip the rest of our stay in Edinburgh. We would all recommend that you do this if you like cycling (although we had one person in our group who isn’t keen she still enjoyed it all). There are longer cycle routes also for the really keen. Finished off with a well earned coffee and cake in the little cafe afterwards. Well done to everyone involved with the wee bikes it’s a very worthwhile project. Paul from Wiltshire.
