Piazza Maggiore, cuore di Bologna dal 1200, è circondata da monumenti storici come la Basilica di San Petronio e la Fontana del Nettuno. Un tempo fulcro del commercio e della vita civile, rimane il principale luogo di ritrovo della città.
Visiteremo una salumeria tradizionale, un'istituzione locale nota per i suoi salumi di alta qualità, dove proverai diversi tipi di Parmigiano Reggiano con Aceto Balsamico. Nelle vicinanze, vedremo abili signore, le ‘sfogline’, che fanno la pasta a mano, e proverete anche voi!

Mercato di Mezzo è stato un fulcro di sapori e commerci fin dal Medioevo. Trasformato nel primo mercato coperto di Bologna dopo l’Unità d’Italia, è stato rivitalizzato nel 2014 e ora offre specialità enogastronomiche locali.
Una delle panetterie più antiche di Bologna, a conduzione familiare dalla fine del XIX secolo e che conserva ancora il suo fascino originario. Scopri una lunga tradizione di cottura artigianale e goditi una degustazione della loro classica torta di riso, un'amata specialità locale.
Le Due Torri sono simboli iconici di Bologna, segnano l’ingresso dell’antica Via Emilia. Costruite nel XII secolo, riflettono il potere e il prestigio del passato di Bologna, con una vista panoramica e l'altra famosa per la sua drammatica inclinazione.
In un pilastro del quartiere per tre decenni, assaggeremo i veri sapori locali. Assapora un ricco Friggione e la tradizionale tigella (o crescentina) condita da delicato prosciutto, insieme al Lambrusco.
Questa storica osteria prende il nome dalla fabbrica di campane che vi si trova. Immergiti nel suo ricco passato, dalle nascite papali alle confraternite studentesche e agli affreschi antichi. Goditi una degustazione di tagliatelle al sugo bolognese, tortelloni alla salvia e burro, con vino Pignoletto e termina con un espresso e un tortellino al cioccolato.
A partire dal XVIII secolo, questa zona di Bologna è diventata un polo culturale, con l'Università di Bologna che nel 1803 trasferì gli uffici del Decano a Palazzo Poggi. Oggi è il quartiere studentesco della città, che fonde edifici storici con street art e graffiti contemporanei.

Excellent stops at local establishments including observing ladies making tortellini then making our own! Great lunch at restaurant with their own home made pasta and wine! Returned to the lunch spot for dinner and to bakery to purchase sweets we sampled on the tour! Elena our guide was superb! Informative, knowledgeable, personable and entertaining with tons of history included. The length was perfect and the local venues small and family owned. Group of 7 was great. Highly recommend to include this on your visit to Bologna! 10 out of 10!

This was an excellent food tour. One of the best walking food tours we have taken. 3 hours of temping foods from Bologna. Our guide was amazing. Not only did we enjoy the food, but she provide the history of Bologna and the food. Highly recommend.
