A bit disappointing to be honest. Poor value for money. I get there is no whisky yet but why water down the new make to 40%. It comes of stills and goes into the casks at far higher strength , why not let visitors taste it. And again the table whisky low strength. It’s poor value compared to other tours that let you keep a glass and offer more. That said tour guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable
This was a lovely experience, Simon was an excellent and very knowledgeable guide. The distillery was super interesting and modern, it was great to learn about the process and business story in such a great place. Definitely recommend the tour with tasting as that was also an outstanding part with delicious spirits and whisky.
Really interesting tour, Simon was a fantastic guide, very enthusiastic and knowledgeable and throwing in some good cheesy jokes. The distillery is very interesting and the attention to detail with the products they produce is amazing.
Hi Emily, thank you for your lovely review! We're so pleased you enjoyed learning about our whisky. Simon will be very happy to hear your kind words!
Very Cool place. However, a very boring guide and hard to understand, was she French? Also not a whiskey tasting. We only tasted one whiskey, since their whiskeys weren’t ready yet. We tasted ports and a sour sherry. Boring and disappointing
Hello, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While our tour has always focused on the whisky-making process, as described on our website when booking, we also include a deconstructed whisky tasting using our own new make spirit, which is a unique experience rarely offered on other distillery tours. We appreciate your comments and will certainly take them into consideration as we continue to develop our visitor experience. As for the guide, if it was me you had, yes indeed I am French and never had any issues/ comments about my accents before in the many years I have done this tour. If English is not your first language we would have been able to provide you a language script as advertised in the shop and on tour.
Nice tour, good explanation with tasting.
Simon was our tour guide and we enjoyed a lot with his informative yet humorous explanation of the process of making whiskey. Big thank you to Simon! Also, the whiskey tasting was awesome, we loved the port and their Table Whiskey very much.

Whisky is about story, and Isobel told a modern day whisky story really well, relating it to the history of Leith with distilling and brewing. I am an Edinburgh local but she told it in a clear and accessible way for the overseas guests on the tour.
