This excursion was personalized to our goals and Scott attended to every wish with thoughtfulness. We could not be happier.
During my families trip to Scotland we scheduled a private driving tour from Edinburgh to St. Andrews. The entire experience with Iconic tours from start to finish was absolutely perfect. I engaged with Will to answer some initial questions and also to confirm the booking. Will was very responsive, very efficient and worked with us to customize our driving tour. Scott was our tour guide for the driving tour and was absolutely amazing. I have had a dozen+ different tour guides during my trips to Europe and I can say Scott was the best tour guide I have ever had. He was extremely knowledgeable, flexible, funny and engaging. We had lots of great conversation during the entire tour, it was great!! I will always cherish the memory of our trip to St. Andrews, it was an amazing experience and Iconic Tours was a huge part of what made that day so special.
Dear Road215487, Many thanks foe taking the time to write a review of the tour you had with Scott. All of our tours are private and we lokento adjust each day to suit our customers needs, whether it is in advance through messages with me, or even on the day we strive to give the best tours possible and as you can attest, Scott is absolutely amazing and goes way beyond what most tour guides can deliver and it's wonderful to hear he was the best tour guide you have ever had. We hope you can come tour with us again. Will
Our guide Jim Donavon was outstanding, knowledgeable about the area and all around great guide, very accomadating to our needs. Very enjoyable day.
Dear Olivia M, Many thanks for taking the time to write a review of your tour with Jim. He is a great guy, good fun to be with and very accommodating. We hope you can come tour with us again soon. Will
Our guide, Scott went out of his way to customize our tour. He even drove us to the local post office and waited while we mailed our souvenirs home! Then he took us on a detour to track down my husband's ancestors in Strathmiglo. He helped us search the local graveyards, looking for the family name on all the headstones. He gave us anecdotes, history and lore along the way. St. Andrew's was lovely and the coastal area is breathtaking. Such a wonderful day!
Dear Bethany T, Many thanks for taking the time to write a review. Scott thoroughly enjoyed his day with you and was delighted to help you out and we are very glad you appreciated his efforts so much. We hope you can come visit again. Kind regards, Will
We actually had 2 iconic tours during the Scotland leg of our family trip. The walking tour of London was good. We had 5 adults and 6 children and were with Gillian. She was informative and nice. We also had a driving tour with Chris. He was great. He let us ask questions and direct the conversation on our way to St. Andrews. Unfortunately, as we were pulling into the beautiful town, my 4 year old threw up due to the windy road in. Chris and the bus driver couldn't have been more kind. Chris directed me to the public bathroom where we could wash up and sent my husband to the golf shop to buy replacement clothing for our little guy. Our tour was a bit delayed, but he didn't mind at all and gave us a delightful tour of the golf course, the university and the old cathedral grounds before dropping us for our lunch reservation and collecting us for a last photo opportunity of the Old Course. Thank you Chris!
Dear kaconway, thank you so much for the lovely review. Gillian was delighted to meet you and show you the sights of Edinburgh and Chris was very happy to show you to St Andrews. We know what it's like to travel with little ones and we know the ups and downs so it's no trouble to help out when people are not well. We are glad you enjoyed yourself so much and let us know if you ever come back. Thanks, Will
