Questo tour include alcuni dei siti più mozzafiato dell'Armenia in direzione sud-est. La prima tappa sarà nell'antico borgo di Areni, dove è stata ritrovata una cantina di 6000 anni. Ti godrai qui una degustazione di vini e un tour intorno alla fabbrica "Hin Areni". Più avanti lungo il percorso arriva un volo sulla funivia reversibile più lunga del mondo - "Wings of Tatev" e una visita all'esclusivo complesso del monastero di Tatev. Un'altra tappa impressionante sarà la città rupestre di Khndzoresk, dove i più coraggiosi potranno passeggiare lungo il ponte girevole in cerca di adrenalina.

Vayots Dzor e Areni villaggio in particolare è stata la culla della vinificazione armena per millenni. La fabbrica di vino "Hin Areni" apre le porte di questa regione al mondo per mostrare i vitigni armeni storici e autoctoni. In cantina le tradizioni storiche della vinificazione ben si sposano con attrezzature moderne all'avanguardia. L'azienda vinicola "Hin Areni" ha la capacità di lavorare oltre 250 tonnellate di uva.
Tra i pilastri architettonici di Zangezour, il monastero di Tatev non ha i suoi "rivali". Era il monastero medievale più ricco dell'Armenia. Oltre ad essere un centro religioso, Tatev era anche l'importante centro strategico del regno di Syunik. Essendo situato in un luogo naturalmente difeso, il monastero di Tatev è sempre stato una fortezza inespugnabile per gli alieni. In condizioni politiche non stabili diverse vie segrete nel territorio della fortezza conducevano al canyon e fungevano da collegamento tra il monastero e il mondo esterno.
Le campane della chiesa suonavano forte a Tatev il 16 ottobre 2010, annunciando il lancio di un programma per far rivivere un complesso monastico medievale e l'apertura della "Wings of Tatev Ropeway". La funivia di 5,7 km, costruita in 11 mesi, attraversa una profonda gola del fiume Vorotan e su colline, ricoperte da foreste lussureggianti. Il tram è sostenuto da tre torri tra i suoi due terminal. Un terminal si trova su una collina, che domina il villaggio di Halidzor e l'altro è vicino al monastero di Tatev, sulla strada per il villaggio di Tatev. Due cabine operano contemporaneamente, viaggiando in direzioni opposte. Ci sono 6 cavi in tutto (3 per ogni cabina), ciascuno previsto univocamente per le specifiche di questo progetto. In circa 11 minuti una cabina del tram porta i passeggeri, 30 alla volta, dal villaggio di Halidzor al magnifico complesso di Tatev.
Khndzoresk si trova a una distanza di 8 km da Goris. Il paese è famoso per i suoi "tappeti di pietra" naturali. L'antica Khndzoresk è situata sui due pendii della valle montuosa. Non c'erano zone pianeggianti su quei pendii per la costruzione di insediamenti e per questo motivo si utilizzavano le grotte. Durante il movimento di liberazione nazionale di Syunik (1722-1730), a causa della sua posizione geografica inaccessibile, Khndzoresk servì da roccaforte per Syunik. Il comandante armeno Mkhitar Sparapet è sepolto a Khndzoresk. Accanto a lui riposano suo figlio Aharon e la Signora di Syunik – Gohar. Recentemente a Khndzoresk è stata aperta una struttura unica: un "ponte oscillante", la cui lunghezza è di 160 m, l'altezza dal punto più profondo della gola è di 63 me la larghezza è di 1,5 m. 700 persone contemporaneamente possono attraversare questo ponte del peso di 14 tonnellate. Il ponte, da cui si apre una magnifica vista, collega le due sponde dell'antica Khndzoresk.

Had this tour with Eduard (one of the best English and Russian speaking tour guides) and Karen (the best driver (the one with the souvenir sign of his name attached to the front of the van)). This very long, arduous, but beautiful tour was also educational in terms of regional history, culture, and religious traditions. Eduard and Karen were very patient and kind. So, make sure you seek all the tours with them if you want a hardworking guide who speaks both English and Russian well (coming from a person who speaks both). If you’re from Hyur Service, give them a raise, and if you’re a tourist, make sure to ask for them for long tours! Thank you for making this long tour bearable and enjoyable, dear Eduard and Karen! And if you’re a lucky tourist, you can het blessed by the very famous Father Miqayel in Tatev!

Driver Araïk and guide Nina were very professional and courteous. Very bad microphone on bus. I had the impression that the explanation in Russian was longer and more explicit than in English. Meal was ok but the chicken could have been juicier and not dry for 4,900 Drams. I did not like the wine they made us taste; it was the cheapest level of wine they made us taste. Not a good idea of the purpose was to make us purchase some. I did not buy any. All in all, it was a beautiful experience and worth rebooting with the same agency. Thank you Nina and Araik.

Fantastic tour for those who want a little adventure. It was well-timed with enough stops to keep it interesting but few enough that you could take your time looking at each attraction. Our guide Edward was very knowledgeable and did a great job organizing the tour so that both the Russian speakers and English speakers could enjoy it. I appreciated the interesting facts throughout the drive and stories both historical and mythical. Special thanks also to our driver Haik, who did an amazing job navigating roads in the fog that weren’t in the best conditions.
