Il complesso ecclesiastico Tegher è situato sul versante meridionale del monte Aragats. Si compone di una chiesa e un'anticamera ed è stato costruito nel XIII secolo sotto il patronato della moglie di Vache Vachutian - Mamakhatun. Di grande interesse è l'anticamera, sul cui tetto, dagli angoli sud-occidentale e nord-occidentale, sono state costruite piccole chiesette a cappella. Questa anticamera ha un posto speciale tra i monumenti architettonici dell'Armenia, grazie alla sua composizione costruttiva. C'è una vista mozzafiato, che si apre dal territorio del complesso all'osservatorio Byurakan.
Fondata nel 1932, la cantina "Voskevaz" offre ai suoi visitatori un assortimento di vini meraviglioso e davvero stimolante. La cosa che rende questa cantina ancora più speciale è che qui i vini sono prodotti utilizzando sia la moderna tecnologia di vinificazione che le vecchie karase (vasi tradizionali per l'invecchiamento del vino), realizzati nel XIX secolo. Durante il tour visiterai le cantine, esplorerai la storia della fabbrica, oltre a conoscere le peculiarità della vinificazione.
Il monastero di Hovhannavank porta il nome di Giovanni Battista. La chiesa più antica qui è la basilica a una navata, costruita nel V secolo. Nel XIII secolo, sotto il patrocinio dei duchi di Vachut, furono aggiunti nuovi edifici. Di grande interesse è il portale della chiesa principale, impreziosito da motivi evangelici.

I had a wonderful experience on this tour and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Armenia. The itinerary is very well thought out and offers a perfect balance of history, culture, and local flavors. We first visited the beautiful Hovhannavank and Tegher Monasteries, where we learned about Armenia's rich religious and architectural heritage. The tour concluded with a guided visit and wine tasting at Voskevaz Winery, which was an excellent way to experience Armenia's ancient winemaking traditions. Our tour guide, Inna, was exceptionally knowledgeable and shared fascinating historical insights about each destination. Our driver, Ara, ensured a safe and comfortable journey throughout the day. Despite the large size of our group, they managed everything seamlessly and made sure everyone had an enjoyable experience. I also appreciated the English-language engaging and informative winery tour led by Gohar at Voskevaz Winery. Overall, this was an excellent tour with a great itinerary, professional staff, and memorable experiences. We enjoyed the tour in the 2 monasteries where we learned plenty of things about Armenian history and Culture. The bus was clean, well air-conditioned and both driver Arog and guide Nina were lovely and helpful
