I Monti Bale sono un'area ideale per passeggiate, trekking ed escursioni per escursionisti, appassionati di cultura e natura, osservatori della fauna selvatica, ricercatori e altro ancora. Il parco è noto per ospitare il lupo etiope, il nyala di montagna, il gigante Molerat e la scimmia balla. L'UNESCO ha stimato che se gli habitat dei Monti Bale si estinguessero più specie di mammiferi che se scomparisse qualsiasi altra area di dimensioni equivalenti sul globo e, quando questo si combina con rare specie di anfibi, uccelli endemici e flora spettacolare, è facile capire perché il parco è stato designato come hotspot della biodiversità da Conservation International.

Recently went on a 3-day journey to Bale Mountains which was coordinated by Danakil Depression tours. It will always be one of the most memorable trips I've been on. Ethiopia was an amazing destination with its the landscape marvels, well planned itinerary , mud volcanoes, archaeological sites and the beautiful countryside. Had an all-inclusive itinerary planned by the Danakil Depression group that gave my family the opportunity to cover many important sites within the 3 days. The tour was managed by Mr Mickey Mitiku who executed the entire trip with utmost professionalism and kept the 9-member group lively throughout. The hotels and restaurants arranged were very comfortable and satisfying. Both local and Indian cuisine was included. Would definitely recommend both Danakil Depression Tours and Mr Mickey for travel enthusiasts.
