David was our driver for the Private Castle Tour. He was extremely knowledgeable about all four castles and he made a few stops along the way to sights we were interested in. He is a good driver too! I would highly recommend him!

We loved our tour and are still talking about it! David had a great deal of knowledge and we had a comfortable drive with him to Blackness, Doune, Drummond and Stirling castles. He pointed out other landmarks (Kelpies, William Wallace monument). It was very convenient to have someone take us directly tot he castles and pick us up - it saved time and even though we have driven extensively in Scotland, it was nice to relax and enjoy the scenery without worrying about getting lost. We beat the crowds a tBlackness getting there right when they opened. The William Wallace monument is near Stirling Castle and if we'd know we might've tried to spend less time at the Drummone gardens in favor of trying to hit that, but we were very happy with the tour and will plan to come back for the William Wallace experience.

It was interesting to tour the countryside and see 4 castles. However we were only able to tour inside 1 of the castles.
On the four castles tour we visit Stirling Castle, Drummond Castle, Blackness Castle and Doune Castle and there was access to the inside of Blackness , Stirling and Doune castle . We can't go inside Drummond Castle as the owner lives in it , although the tower keep is open to visitors , as well as the stunning gardens . We mention this in the tour description so I'm sorry of there was any confusion
This is NOT a tour of the castles. This is a person driving you from place to place. Unfortunately our driver didn’t seem to have much knowledge of the area or the castles and was not very engaging. 😫 For the price we expected more.
I am sorry you were disappointed with this tour . Private tours Edinburgh is proud of our standards of professionalism. The driver /guide gave detailed information about the history of each castle and details of films and TV shows made there. Our driver has extensive knowledge of the castles on this tour
We enjoyed most of the trip, despite the rain, with our driver David but were duked out of the fourth castle as they had closed at 3pm and we arrived just after. The driver should've known about this and got us there ahead of time. Waiting to see if the company will give us some money back...
I am sorry we were not able to get to Doune Castle in time. There was the opportunity to take pictures but you couldn't go inside . I apologise for any inconvenience.
Guide was pleasant enough but fell short compared to other guides we've had on vacation. He was more of just a driver, which he did just fine. This selection of castles was truly amazing to see. We took SO MANY pictures. Even the teens were impressed.

David is an informative and safe driver. We enjoyed a great day exploring castles near Edinburgh. I would suggest (for the price) bottles of water in the car and a slightly larger vehicle, but all in all we had a great experience!

If you are an Outlander Fan, this is the four for you as David the driver is knowledgeable about the sites related to the TV show. Personally, we are history buffs and more interested in the ancient Royals and battles. I would highly recommend that you re-order and adjust the schedule for the most pleasant day and more time at each castle. We did Stirling then Doune then Blackness Castle. We skipped Drummond Castle and this gave the day a more relaxed pace and was more enjoyable for us a family.

Had this tour booked months in advance and the tour operator contacted us and said they were overbooked and cancelled. Not a good way to introduce a new tour on TripAdvisor or Viator.
this booking was cancelled well in advance . This is not an appropriate place to post a so called " review " of a tour which never actually happened. This tour booking was cancelled a month in advance due to overbooking .
