Kibera è il più grande insediamento informale dell'Africa orientale e ha una lunga e interessante storia. La tua guida, Ochi, un ex calciatore professionista, è molto conosciuta in tutta Kibera; è nato lì e conosce il posto come le sue tasche. Incontrerai Ochi al centro commerciale Prestige Plaza (Ngong Road) e da lì camminerai fino a Kibera, mentre Ochi ti spiegherà alcune regole di base per entrare nella baraccopoli (non è pericoloso, ma è bene conoscere alcune cose basilari da fare e da non fare). Ochi ti accompagnerà attraverso la rete di stretti vicoli di Kibera, ti racconterà la sua storia e con lui scoprirai in prima persona come vive la gente del posto, poiché visiterai alcune case e incontrerai la gente del posto. Oppure, se preferisci, potresti visitare uno studio d'arte locale, un negozio, un bar o un ristorante. Ci sarà una sosta per un tè o una bibita e alla fine del tour Ochi ti riaccompagnerà al centro commerciale. Nota che questo tour non è adatto a persone con problemi di mobilità; comporta un bel po' di cammino su sentieri sconnessi.

It was an amazing tour being accompanied by ochi and Henry these guys are so awesome people looking forward to visit them soon on my next tour.
The walk inside nairobi city through chocolate city ochi along with Henry it's such a nice team to walk along with this guys are so funny and they are jovial and they really made our day great through the the culture of kibra and most so they really love God before we started the walk in the kibra hood they started with a word of prayer. Hope to visit soon and enjoy another walk.
Ochi is an amazing guide and a wonderfully warm and welcoming guy to be with. As a native of Kibera, he knows everything and everyone and he shows his place with insight, authenticity and respect. It makes the tour an incredibly enriching experience that I cannot recommend enough!
Kibera is a bustling and amazing hub in central Nairobi with so many innovative business and community activities and markets. But you do need a local guide to see the best of them, get inside the buildings to see how people live and work, be introduced to the residents and skilled crafts, and especially to find where the clean and well maintained toilets are!. Well done Ochi aka Francis for this entertaining tour which I can thoroughly recommend.
Really great tour by ochi ! Would reccomend to everyone who's visiting Nairobi. He took us to many art cooperatives within kibera and also a nice place to eat too. He explained the history and the current situation of kibera well and I felt I learnt a lot from the tour
We had a great time walking around in Kibera slums with Ochi, who seems to know everybody there. Very nice chap, he is! He picked us up from the shopping mall and we walked with him into the slum area. People there were very friendly, and we were even invited to come inside a few houses; ... amazing to see how people there live... makes you see your own life in a different perspective... Ochi told us a bit about the history of the slum, and showed us around the different sections of Kibera. We had an interesting traditional lunch, and very tasty.! An awesome experience, highly recommended!
