Hello there traveller! Have you heard of the song, he's a jolly good fellow... well yes, Axis Safari, represented by Winnie and driven by Julius were a jolly good team for 6 wildlife photographers from Delhi India including a 78 year old except for the challenges we faced written below with proof: 1. Limited water supply: Bottles of 500 ml given to each traveller, at best 3/4 bottles a day. Mind you, the outside temperature was 38C plus in Kenya during June 2026. 2. Our jolly good driver Julius was so homely, lively and honest it was a pleasure to be with him. However, he isn't ideal for photographers who need different angles, sense of lighting and patience to wait till the best frame and composition appears. 3. The land cruiser had AC and was not used despite a 10 hour 36C 40% humidity long drive where we reached Amboseli from Nairobi after a 10 hr drive! As a result, we lost fluids, health battery and ability to enjoy the long trip and got super tired with a 78 year old. 4. The car Julius drove was solid enough to go through any terrain, but was not well built, not comfortable, not repaired well, no ac and not maintained. There were far better cars available with others in the same price. As a family, Julius and the team are super apt! As professional photographers this is where I would call again. Had a truly amazing experience, saw so many beautiful animals up close. Kevin was an excellent tour guide for the duration and his experience shone through.

The tour was fantastic. The pick up times throughout our stay were on time and well equipped (including water bottles daily and a packed lunch). Kevin was very friendly and knowledgeable - making us all feel safe and comfortable in his hands, especially if it came to any questions. The accommodation was well equipped and the meals we had were tasty and the staff were very attentive. The safari itself is incredible - within the first few hours of our first evening we saw many animals and were lucky enough to see a leopard on our full day. Would absolutely recommend!

From the very beginning, you truly feel that you are in good hands. The team is professional, trustworthy, and genuinely cares about making your experience unforgettable. Even though it was a joining group safari, everything was managed smoothly, and they found a way to accommodate everyone’s different needs. In my case, I needed a direct transfer to the airport, and they arranged it without affecting the rest of the group’s itinerary—something that is quite rare with many other tour operators. They also offer direct airport transfers at a very affordable price, which is an excellent additional service. A special thanks to our guide, Yassin. He is incredibly knowledgeable, experienced, and well respected by all the other guides in the parks. You can immediately tell that he knows what he’s doing, and we always felt safe and confident with him. Thanks to his expertise, we had amazing wildlife sightings and an unforgettable safari experience. What impressed me the most, however, was their support even after the safari had ended. I accidentally made an incorrect money transfer through M-Pesa, something that had absolutely nothing to do with their services. Despite this, they went out of their way to help me, offering both practical assistance and genuine moral support. Finding people who are so kind, honest, and willing to help, even when it’s not their responsibility, is truly rare. We booked the 3-Day Masai Mara Adventure Safari (group tour) with Axis Africa Safaris, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. From the booking stage through to the completion of the safari, everything was well organized and professionally handled. Even after booking, her support continued, which made the entire experience stress-free and enjoyable. Our safari itself was made truly unforgettable by our driver and guide, Yasin. He was absolutely excellent—very experienced, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about wildlife and creating the best experience for guests. One thing that impressed us most was how proactive he was during the game drives. He stayed connected through radio communication with other guides to track wildlife activity and ensure we reached the right places at the right time. Thanks to his efforts, we had incredible wildlife sightings and clear views of animals we may otherwise have missed. His timing, knowledge of the reserve, and ability to position the vehicle for the best viewing opportunities made a huge difference. Yasin also shared interesting information about the animals and ecosystem throughout the safari, which added so much value to the experience. Overall, this trip was one of the highlights of our visit to Kenya. Excellent customer support, great organization, and an outstanding guide.
