La città è riemersa dal buio dei secoli proprio come sarebbe stata quando fu inaspettatamente sepolta dallo spesso strato di cenere e lava riversatosi dalla devastante eruzione del Vesuvio. La portata della tragedia fu spaventosa: in quello che era stato uno dei centri romani più attivi e splendidi, la vita si fermò definitivamente. Lo spesso strato di materiale vulcanico che la sommerse, costituito in gran parte da ceneri e lapilli - materiale non duro, a differenza di quello che ricopriva Ercolano e che si solidificò in pietra durissima - ha fatto sì che la città sia rimasta intatta fino ai giorni nostri. giorno, non solo per quanto riguarda gli edifici, ma anche per quanto riguarda il contenuto delle case e delle botteghe, fornendo un quadro della vita "quotidiana" assolutamente affascinante.

Our tour of Pompeii was amazing. Thanks to our tour guide, Veronica, we were able to see and learn about the history of this magnificent ancient city much more than we could have without her. Veronica was able to help us avoid the crowds while still efficiently hitting the top sites within the city.
Beautiful experience to discover Pompeii with a very good guide prepared and friendly, has managed to entertain everyone from the oldest to the youngest. In two hours we were able to better capture the beauties of the most famous archaeological site in the world! Highly recommended!!!🌶️

I highly recommend Discovering Pompeii!! This was one of our highlights in Italy. We booked a driver, who picked us up just outside the cruise ship. He messaged upon arrival, drove us to Pompeii directly to our own private guide. The guide was fantastic. So knowledgeable! Much more enjoyable with a private tour than a ton of people with an ear piece in. After our tour ended, we were brought to the same spot for pick up and a return to our ship. It was an excellent morning!! Pretty affordable for our group of 6, as well.

Veronica is an amazing and passionate guide who has such a wealth of knowledge not just of Pompeii but of the entire region! The history (also pre-roman) including political and geological context was very clearly explained. My daughter is learning about Greek and Latin mythology and she and Veronica could not stop talking about the various stories that came up in fresco's and statues. What was originally meant as a 2 hour guided tour ended up being a full morning of great conversations and passionate storytelling that really helped us visualize and understand life in Pompeii. Now we finally know where the red horn is really coming from 😀.
We have booked with this company a tour of the Pompeii Ruins. Veronica was our guide. She was professional, nice, prepared and very Flexible. He showed us a lot of things and with great enthusiasm delighted us with clear and simple language that makes us understand everything clearly, especially to my son who is small. Highly recommended.
We booked a guided tour of Pompeii with Veronica. Guide prepared, experienced, nice and very dedicated. He took us to see houses, shops, temples, casts etc..
