Premium Minivan Trip from Rome : Pompei Tour & Pranzo a Sorrento

This is a great intimate and semi private experience. My family and I enjoyed it very much. It was perfect from the moment we checked in and were greeted by our drivers Josh and Roberto “Bob” . The comfort of the transportation and cleanliness of the vehicles was on point, breakfast & lunch stops offered good food and local vibe not touristy at all which I really liked. The restaurants that were chosen had been scouted out by the manager to make the tour more of an Italian experience rather than going to a typical tourist trap like other tours do with larger groups. I especially loved the special attention at De Vivo, our breakfast stop.. We were greeted with smiles from I think the owner, as she helped us to our tables. The drivers/guides were excellent! Josh and Roberto, our drivers were very personable and checked on our group as we were eating, took our orders, offered bottles of water before going to Pompeii, and pointed out some points of interest as we drove along the coast. There were a few other things that Josh and Bob added to the experience but I do not want spoil the surprise as it is part of the experience. Once we got to Pompeii, we were greeted by Gino, our guide. Gino was so passionate about the history of Pompeii and you could see his love for Italy when he spoke. Highly recommend this tour as it is more than just a ‘tour” it is an experience! I really appreciate the efforts of the manager in finding the perfect locations for breakfast and lunch. It really added to the experience. if you are looking to see a bit of the coastline and do not have the luxury of staying there a few days or if you are looking to get out the city for the day, this would be an excellent choice!!

Josh was amazing! He was super friendly and efficient. Everything was well planned. The breakfast and lunch were delicious! Gino was amazing at Pompeii as our tour guide! He was so knowledgeable and passionate. Josh made sure we were comfortable the whole day and provided ice cold waters for us! Highly recommend this tour and you’ll be lucky if you get Josh!

We had an absolutely amazing experience with Crown Tours. From start to finish, everyone we interacted with was friendly, professional, and genuinely committed to making our day unforgettable. The communication leading up to the trip was exceptional, with clear instructions and timely updates that made everything stress-free from the moment we booked until our departure for Pompeii. There are two people in particular who truly exceeded our expectations. First, our driver, Roberto, was one of the most genuine, kind, and personable people we’ve ever met on any tour. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of throughout the entire day. Whether it was making sure everyone was ready at each stop, offering helpful suggestions, or stopping at breathtaking viewpoints for photos that we’ll treasure forever, he consistently made the experience feel personal rather than just another tour. We always felt safe, relaxed, and well cared for. We also want to recognize our Pompeii guide, Deanna. She was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and engaging. You could immediately tell that she loves what she does. She brought the history of Pompeii to life, answered every question with enthusiasm, and made everyone feel welcome and involved. We learned far more than we ever expected and came away with a much deeper appreciation for this incredible archaeological site. The entire day was thoughtfully planned and truly immersive. We started with delicious pastries and coffee before leaving Rome, enjoyed a comfortable ride to Pompeii, and later had a fantastic lunch at a wonderful local restaurant tucked just off the beaten path along the Sorrento coast. Every detail seemed carefully considered, making the experience feel authentic rather than rushed or overly touristy. Roberto safely brought us back to Rome at the end of the day, capping off what was one of the highlights of our first trip to Italy. Thank you, Crown Tours, and especially Roberto and Deanna, for creating memories that will last a lifetime. We would not hesitate to book with you again and highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Italy.

Fantastic experience and beautiful sites.

Absolutely wonderful day trip to Pompeii and Sorrento via Crown Tours. Our tour leads and drivers Luka and Josh led the way in two new Mercedes mini-vans - driving our small group of ten to our destinations. In Pompeii, we stopped for a 30 min traditional Italian breakfast (included) before heading to tour the ancient city of Pompeii. Dianna, our tour guide, was a walking history book; personable and knowledgeable. After a 2 hour tour of Pompeii, it was off to Sorrento. Of note: June, July, and August...do not forget your water and sun screen. Luka and Josh then took over, driving us along a spectacular route to Sorrento; stopping at several amazing overlooks to capture pictures of Mount Vesuvius, Naples and other towns overlooking the Med...as well as a 20/30 minute stop at a unique Italian lemon/slushy and Limoncello roadside stand (must try and included)...sites were breath taking. Trip continued to a seaside eatery Ristorante La Conca - simply amazing food and desert - some of the best, if not the best, we had during our trip to Rome. In my opinion, this tour is something to consider - if you have the time don't hestitate.

The day was perfectly planned and organized. Started with an amazing breakfast. Then Pompeii was amazing (even with a big rain storm) and lunch in Sorrento was picturesque. Food was delicious and service was great!! Thank you to the best guides for everything g today!

Our driver Josh was professional and courteous. He managed the 600km round trip effortlessly. The stops we had were fantastic and added to the experience. Lunch was very tasty and had a great beach outlook. Our guide in Pompeii was very knowledgeable and friendly. Overall the trip was long but very worthwhile. We would thoroughly recommend

We booked this tour just based on reviews and had some idea what to expect but the tour delivered and even surpassed our expectations! We rode in a van with Josh who was very helpful and created a great experience for my family. In the Van ride you can see many great views of the Italian countryside, mountains, and valleys. The other guide, Numa, drove a second van with 3 other pairs who also went on the Pompeii tour and Sorento lunch with us. In Pompeii we met Diana who guided us through the ruins of the city and was able to provide many details about the history and archeological findings at the site. We also enjoyed the breakfast and lunch. I would recommend this tour for anyone who may be visiting Rome.
