Il punto d'incontro. I tour iniziano da qui tutti i giorni alle 11:00 e alle 14:00. Questo memoriale celebra la vita di tre chierici anglicani bruciati sul rogo per eresia nel XVI secolo.
Ci spostiamo nel Quadrangolo Scolastico e scopriamo come la biblioteca di ricerca di fama mondiale dell'Università di Oxford è cresciuta dalle ceneri della Riforma.
Ammira l'architettura rivoluzionaria del primo grande progetto del famoso architetto inglese Christopher Wren, costruito nel 1669
Altamente significativo nella storia culturale del mondo occidentale, il primissimo museo pubblico appositamente costruito.
Costruito nel 1913, l'iconico Ponte dei Sospiri aggiunge un tocco romantico alla nostra passeggiata.
La famosa High Street di Oxford è di per sé una lezione di storia, non solo in termini di college che vediamo dove hanno studiato artisti del calibro di CS Lewis, Shelly, Bob Hawke e Bill Clinton, ma anche per la sua affascinante architettura che risale a centinaia di anni fa.
Attraversa la stretta tortuosa e famigerata Magpie Lane fino a High Street.
Situato in Radcliffe Square, il cuore del distretto universitario di fama mondiale di Oxford, i visitatori si troveranno circondati dalla storia da ogni parte. Questo è dove tutto ha avuto inizio!

I came to Oxford before but this is the first time I scheduled a guided tour. This was amazing. Everything can be done by foot and I learnt a lot during this tour (which went way beyond two hours). Our guide knew his stuff but was very hard to hear and understand. Often turned away from us to talk. Had nothing to help identify him other than a small badge on a lanyard. Very hard in such a busy meeting spot. Appreciated the access to places that we might not have otherwise known about.

My mother and I enjoyed this tour. Andrew was a great guide. I liked hearing about the history of Oxford. We even saw a few places where Harry Potter was filmed. Would definitely book this tour again!

This was the highlight of our stay! We were a group of 4 and no one else was on our tour. Andrew was delightful. He was friendly knowledgeable and took us on a tour of the sights and a selection of colleges. We were told many historical facts and also shown Aslan from Narnia Highly recommend this tour.

Andrew was a delightful guide who took my wife and me on on a tour of several colleges and libraries. He has genuine insight into the history of the area and is well versed in the workings of the University system and its colleges. I never got the feeling he was simply going from a rehearsed script.
