Non proprio Flourish e Blotts, ma il più vicino possibile a una libreria babbana. Blackwells è il sogno di ogni Corvonero, con una capacità di circa 250.000 volumi, che si traduce in 3 miglia di libri! Ciò è ancora più impressionante sapendo che il loro primo negozio misurava solo 12 piedi quadrati e conteneva solo 700 libri usati. Non dimenticare di dare un'occhiata al tetto dell'edificio da lontano. Non preoccuparti, la figura di pietra che vedrai in cima non è pietrificata. È una statua di Antony Gormley; una di una serie di sculture chiamata “Another Time II”.
Una delle biblioteche più grandi, con più edifici sparsi per Oxford. Sede di libri medievali arcaici su incantesimi e maghi! Vista da diverse posizioni esternamente - vedere Divinity per il nostro ingresso a Bodleian.
Nonostante il nome, è uno dei più antichi college di Oxford, costruito nel 1379. Con i suoi chiostri medievali e gli splendidi spazi è facile capire perché hanno deciso di girare più scene di Harry Potter qui!
Ingresso a pagamento a una parte del Bodleian : questo sito più drammatico non è solo una delle parti più antiche della Bodleian Library University, ma è stato anche utilizzato in varie scene quando le riprese di Harry Potter si svolgevano a Oxford. Il Bodleian è un complesso di edifici diversi, questa è la sezione in cui entriamo. Immediatamente riconoscibile come sito di Harry Potter, con uno dei migliori esempi di architettura medievale in Inghilterra.

Our guide, V, was fantastic! She made the tour engaging for the adults and kids in the group. Asked fun Harry Potter related quiz questions and mentioned such interesting facts about all the locations we visited. Definitely would recommend for any Harry Potter fan! My kids, ages 7 and 9 loved it too!
I went on this tour with my 12 year old son & nephew as well as my sister and Mum. Valentine was our guide and she was amazing. She always spoke loud enough to be heard but was not overbearing. She was was always enthusiastic about her subject and had lots of anecdotes about Harry Potter movies and inspiration as well as useful information about the University. She presented to all members of the (small) group and volunteered to be our photographer. It was a hot day and she always sought out shade for us. It was an easy tour to book and the only reason I took one star off the meeting was that phone connectivity in Oxford is not great and I couldn't easily find where to meet. My suggestion would be to put the meeting place on the ticket (which was saved to my apple wallet). The 1.5hr tour flew by and left us very grateful for our tour.

We had a fantastic time on the tour with Adeline. She was such a great guide - friendly, knowledgeable, warm and engaging. Our kids aged 8, 11 and 13 were all engaged for the whole tour. We loved the combo of Oxford history and Harry Potter insights. Very cool going to some of the sites used in the films. Highly recommend.

Had an awesome day today in Oxford. Myself and 2 others had the great experience of visiting some unique sites around the area, where JK Rowling got her inspirations from and places where some of the film were done at. We had the lovely Anna take us around and she was superb! So lovely and very knowledgable. Would highly recommend 😊
I was traveling for a three day weekend with my young children and this tour was at the top of their list. We loved seeing several filming locations form the film, as well as information about Oxford the city and Oxford the University.

We absolutely loved this tour. Angus was fantastic – full of information, kindness and good humour. It was a thoroughly informative, slickly operated tour and packed with fascinating information and entertaining anecdotes on Oxford for all ages. Not a moment was wasted - very, very well worth booking, even for non-Harry Potter enthusiasts, and I will certainly be recommending it again to my future guests. A huge success and great way to start a touristy day in Oxford.
Angus was a great guide. Had lots of information about the city, the colleges and even threw in a little about Tolkien and Lewis as well as the Harry Potter sites. He was great with the children on the tour too. Highly recommend!
