Roland was waiting with his van right outside the cruise ship. He is a history teacher! What a perfect tour guide! He taught us so much about the English countryside and Stonehenge. We had an awesome time hearing his stories and historical facts. I highly recommend using In and Beyond Bath for your tour of the English countryside.

We had an amazing day with Simon Whittaker as our guide. We not only saw Stonehenge, but the West Kennett Long Borrow, Silbury Hill, Avebury Stone Circles and Lacock village! And 2 chalk White Horses. Simon was so informative and amusing. A complete fount of information! The van was comfortable for our group of seven. Plenty of stops for food and "relief". Just a great day!

What an excellent experience! Simon was so knowledgeable and knew so many interesting details. He never rushed us and was able to bring us to many places. He picked out the loveliest pubs for lunch. I highly recommend ‘In and Beyond Bath’ for anyone interested in history.

Roland Hurrell served as our driver/guide for a day tour out of Bath, and into the southern Cotswolds. We wanted to see historical architecture, countryside, and local flavor. We were completely pleased with the itinerary Roland planned, as well as his knowledge of the area. We especially enjoyed his historical knowledge . . . unsurprising given that his career was teaching history to 13-18 year-olds. Roland is an engaging and knowledgeable guide, and solicitous of his guests' comfort. I'd enjoy traveling with him again, and would recommend him 100% favorably. Cheers

Our group of 8 had the most wonderful day with our guide Simon! He curated the tour day to our list of suggested visits and brought a plethora of historical knowledge and local terrain insights. Simon is a fascinating person and we had such a lovely time seeing the countryside through his guidance! He was very communicative leading up to the tour making us feel very at ease in In & Beyond Bath's hands - and did not disappoint during the tour! Wonderful tour with Roland! We got to see everything at Stonehenge and around (Cursus, Woodhenge, Durrington Walls, etc.) we wanted to, and he shared so many other fun hidden secrets from the more recent past. Great food where we stopped too!

Great experience with Julie from In & Around Bath. She picked my husband and I up at our hotel at 9 AM, and described the beautiful scenery on the 1 hr drive to Stonehenge. She provided details about Stonehenge that we wouldn't otherwise had known and gave us plenty of time to explore the stones and visitors center. From there we drove through the countryside to the village of Horningsham in Wiltshire where we lunched at fancy local pub/restaurant on the extensive grounds of Longleat House. Next stop was Frome in Somerset where we toured St. Johns Church founded in 685 AD and Nunny Castle (dtd 1370), and then stopped at the local pub for the local cider. Delicious! We found In & Beyond Bath on the VisitBath website. There are a few other all-day driving tours available (some at lower prices but they were already booked). But, we have no regrets and completely enjoyed our day touring the area with Julie!
