Food tour was more than we ever expected. This food tour encompassed the history of Split and the influences that the Venetians and Ottomans had on creating food the food of today. One place was better than the next. Out highlight was the very last spot. Don’t miss it!
Wonderful authentic food and great guide! We especially enjoyed the chevalia and wine. Lovely historical perspective of the food traditions.
We had a wonderful evening with Ivna. All the stops had delicious offerings, with the final location Gudin Pigeria, as the best food. Ivna asked if we wanted to hear the history of the area, we all agreed and she gave us an exceptional background of Diocletian’s Palace, the Dalmatian Coast area and the country. We were in a small group of 8, which was the perfect size to be able to ask questions and hear responses. Highly recommend the tour and Ivna.
Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Maja was excellent giving us an introduction to Croatian food and history.
Best tour ever. Our guide was amazing. She provided local information and the food was beyond expectations.
Meeting point was easy to find and right on time. Would have liked better communication. Our guide, Evna, was excellent in explaining the history and culture of Split. The dining spots were all local and the food was generous portions. very enjoyable and fun!
Toni gave us a great sampling of local food, as well as history of the area. Our group of 8 was the right size, with all age ranges and it couldn’t have been more entertaining!
We had a great time on the food tour in Split. Communication was excellent from start to finish, and our guide, Maja, was friendly and knowledgeable. Maja shared lots of interesting information about the history and culture of Split and Croatia, as well as the stories behind the food we tasted. The food itself was very good and plentiful—there was more than enough to eat! A lovely way to experience Split, learn more about Croatian culture, and enjoy some delicious local food.
We were lucky that we were the only ones booked for the evening food tour. That gave us a wonderful opportunity for a private tour with Debora who was delightfully knowledgeable about Split. She pointed out different buildings as we walked through the old city and told us many interesting things about the history of Split as well as the culture and traditions of Croatia as they related to food. The five stops we made to taste and eat featured authentic Croatian food. As we shared our meal with her, we engaged in easy conversation. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on this tour.
