Ammira la centrale idroelettrica Jaruga sotto lo Skradinski buk, la seconda centrale idroelettrica più antica del mondo e la prima in Europa. Dopo aver trascorso del tempo nel parco con la tua guida, intraprendi un rilassante giro in barca verso Skradin. Fai una passeggiata attraverso la cittadina, arrampicati su una fortezza e goditi viste panoramiche, prendi un cocktail o pranza in uno dei bar e ristoranti o fai una nuotata su una spiaggia vicina, dove il fiume Krka incontra il mare. Krka è il settimo parco nazionale della Croazia noto per il suo gran numero di cascate. Prende il nome dal fiume Krka che fa parte del parco. Il Parco Nazionale si trova nella Dalmazia centrale, a pochi chilometri a nord-est della città di Sebenico. Il fiume Krka ha sette cascate di travertino e la sua bellezza è un fenomeno carsico naturale, che si consiglia di visitare in primavera e in estate, poiché in quei periodi vivrete il suo pieno splendore.

Gabriella was such a great guide, she was really funny, personable, made a clear effort to get to know all of the guests, and gave great recommendations and information throughout the day. Ante was also a great driver. The pace felt relaxed even with multiple stops, and Gabriella suggested - and our bus enthusiastically agreed - to change the order of the day to avoid a long line from several cruise ships that had docked and were all going to Krka. Really appreciated that we still had ample time everywhere without waiting in any long lines or crowds! The wine was delicious, the town and swimming in the river peaceful, and had plenty of time to enjoy the waterfalls and walk the full loop. Great day trip!
I highly recommend this day trip. I chose it because the other option I explored of going to Plitvice would have required a much longer bus ride to/from Split, and I didn't want to spend half the day on the bus. Our guide Gabriella was excellent. She was a local who was knowledgeable about the area, the history, and she was very organized. She had the foresight to suggest modifying the planned itinerary so that we would get to Krka later in the day when the crowds wouldn't be so big. It was a good call. The park was amazing and got some incredible pictures of waterfalls and even a close up of a cool looking frog. The wine tasting was fun as well--be sure to go for the prosciutto platter. I highly recommend this day trip as a way to escape the city for the day and not have to worry about the driving or parking. It's totally worth it.

Wonderful day beating the heat in Split! Gabriella was super knowledgeable and professional - the consummate expert guide. I opted to swim and laze at the lake, but many on my tour took full advantage of the wine tour option. The falls were lovely and Gabbi arranged our timing at Krka to avoid full crowds. Overall, I highly recommend this tour!
Antonia was the perfect guide: knowledgeable, positive, clear on instructions and directions, and very helpful. The waterfalls walk is spectacular. A timber walkway most of the way makes walking easy although there are a few uneven areas of dirt track and exposed roots for those who may need to be aware. There are many cascading falls, fish swimming through pristine pools and a historical area with local ethnic skills displayed. A beautiful boat ride down the aqua river, between steep hills brought us to a small town where one can grab lunch from one of many restaurants. After a quick dip in the calm river we were off to wine tasting at a family vineyard. With four different wines sampled, and the option of an accompanying player, it was a pleasant and informative finish to an enjoyable day.
Antonia is a very positive and vibrant person who made all instructions very clear. The tour was seamless throughout all aspects.
