I Plitvice sono conosciuti come un fenomeno naturale perché continuano a cambiare attraverso la sedimentazione del carbonato di calcio e creano particolari tipi di alghe e muschi, tufo o travertino che si sono depositati e si depositano ancora per formare le dighe naturali che separano i laghi. Poiché il processo è in corso oggi, proprio come sempre, vengono costruite nuove barriere di travertino, tende, stalattiti, canali e cascate mentre quelle esistenti continuano a cambiare. Quindi non importa se hai già visitato i laghi prima, probabilmente ora hanno un aspetto diverso, quindi puoi visitarli di nuovo e non annoiarti mai. Oltre ai laghi sono presenti alcune interessanti grotte nelle quali sono stati rinvenuti resti di insediamenti preistorici.

A fantastic experience at the Plitvice Lakes! A truly unforgettable day, made even more special by our guide Luka. From the very beginning, during the bus ride, Luka shared many interesting explanations with us: he told us about Croatia’s history, some aspects of geopolitics, curiosities, and many useful insights to better understand the country we were visiting. He also explained the history of Split, enriching the journey with stories and details that made the whole experience much more engaging. Once we arrived at the lakes, we were amazed by the breathtaking scenery. It is a truly beautiful place, with incredible landscapes. Luka guided us along the paths, explaining the history of the park, the characteristics of the lakes, the surrounding nature, and even some fascinating legends connected to this magical place. His knowledge, kindness, and passion made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We were also lucky with the weather, as we had a wonderful sunny day that allowed us to fully appreciate the beauty of Plitvice. Highly recommended experience, especially thanks to a guide like Luka!
We did the Lake Plitvice National Park tour with LUKA. We had an amazing experience with Luka and on the whole. Luka gave us a lot of information not just about the Lakes, but also about Split in terms of the formation, history and lots of other things. The walk throghout the national park was very well organized and Luka also created a WhatsApp group to send important information like meeting times / spots so that everyone knew where to be even if they split from the group. I would highly recommend booking with BOOKER Agency and also recommend Luka as a tout guide!!

We had an amazing day trip to Plitvice Lakes with Booker. The national park is absolutely mesmerising and one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited. A special thank you to our guide, Antonia who was friendly, caring, and incredibly knowledgeable. She kept an eye on everyone throughout the day, made sure we were on the right boat, shared lots of interesting information, and was always smiling. Her organisation and kindness made the experience even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Split.
