Itinerario
Inizia da Forte São Brás e scopri la sua importanza storica nella difesa dell'isola;
Ad Anjos, visita le pozze di marea e la prima chiesa delle Azzorre. Inoltre, scopri la memorabile sosta di Cristoforo Colombo nell'isola.

Santo Espírito sarà il prossimo, la parrocchia che possiede il più grande esempio di stile barocco delle Azzorre - la sua notevole chiesa;
Giù andiamo a Maia, un'altra baia ben nota se l'isola per il suo paesaggio di vigneti e Cascata do Aveiro, la seconda cascata più alta del Portogallo;
Ora ben sulla costa meridionale, un altro famoso geosito riposa per la contemplazione: Ribeira do Maloás. Le sue strutture simili a pilastri sono il risultato della contrazione orizzontale avvenuta quando la lava si è raffreddata. Simile a Giant's Causeway in Irlanda, ma più fresco.
Accanto a Pico Alto, il punto più alto dell'isola dove puoi avere una vista a 360º e apprezzare tutto ciò che hai visto finora (se le condizioni meteorologiche lo consentono!).
Termina il tour a Praia Formosa, la spiaggia sabbiosa più famosa delle Azzorre e sede del più antico festival musicale ininterrotto del Portogallo, il Festival Maré de Agosto dal 1984.

There are no words to express our experience with Henrique and his amazing tour in Santa Maria! I have never had a tour with a guide with such a limitless variety and depth of knowledge, plus a charming, friendly and spiritual personality! In the end of the day we had a unique experience, we adored the beauties of this island and we gained serious knowledge about the Azores regarding history, geology, art and natural life. My sincerest recommendation for this tour, it's absolutely unique, don't miss it!
Exceptional! Henry was a spectacular guide, we loved it. We were two friends traveling and it was a whole day to know the best corners of the island. All very nice, highly recommend!!

It was very excellent, guide is very friendly and showed the fantastic places, a pity I wasn't at Pico Alto because it was very fog and rain. But it was very fantastic. I really loved it. Congratulations to the professional guide.

The tour was awesome! Is absolutely recommended if you want something special. The jeep takes you safely across the island and the guide has all the information. Lunch was simple but just right. In the end, there are even places that can be reached very easily to explore on your own the next day. Thank you for this experience:)

This was a wonderful back road view of the entire island, filled with facts about the history, the culture, the flora, and the natural landscape. The home made picnic of traditional food was an extra treat.
