La laguna di Quilotoa è un bellissimo posto in Ecuador che devi visitare. Il panorama è fantastico. La caldera è stata formata dal crollo di un vulcano a seguito di una catastrofica eruzione circa 600 anni fa. Possiamo scendere a piedi, fare kayac e tornare in mulo, è un'esperienza fantastica.

Capitale delle Ande, Quito è situata in posizione drammatica, stretta tra le vette delle montagne il cui verde è nascosto dalla nebbia pomeridiana. Moderni condomini e modeste case di cemento si insinuano parzialmente sulle pendici, e le trafficate strade commerciali fiancheggiate da negozi e soffocate dal traffico si trasformano in tranquilli quartieri la domenica. Calda e rilassata, tradizionale cultura ecuadoriana della Sierra - bancarelle traboccanti di mercato, guaritori sciamanici, fabbricanti di cappelli di quarta generazione - si mescola con una scena culinaria e di vita notturna vibrante e sofisticata. Quando ti fermi davanti a questa montagna, alla tua destra c'è il nord, la tua sinistra è il sud, Quito è lunga 64 km e lunga 4 km, a partire da questo vulcano attivo.

Questa piccola città è famosa per i dipinti che gli indigeni fanno con la pelle di agnello e le maschere di legno. più ti piace chiedere un prezzo migliore.
C'è una città indigena che attraversa la strada della città di Latacunga a La Mana. Qui possiamo trovare alcuni posti dove fermarsi e provare mais, birra, platani o maiale fritto. Continuiamo al rigth in 20 minuti che stiamo per arruolare Quilotoa Lagoon.
Quilotoa è una caldera piena d'acqua e il vulcano più occidentale delle Ande ecuadoriane.

We had the opportunity to visit Quilotoa Lake! The cherry on the cake of the trip. We had the opportunity to visit local craft shops and the food was delicious here. Do not miss the opportunity and take this trip, you'll thank me later.

What I liked the most is the support we all have. If someone knows less they are helped and given the necessary facilities such as the broom cart.

We had an amazing time going to Quilotoa with Felipe. It was just our family of 4 and him on a private tour. We got started early and he took us to a great breakfast place on the way. We also stopped to see some of the artwork of the indigenous people. It was quite stunning. Felipe had been recommending Quilotoa to us, and it was breathtaking. We walked down to the lake (bring good walking shoes) and rode horses back up. There are lots of photo ops on the way. Afterwards, we stopped at a local place for a nice lunch. On the way back to the hotel, Felipe kept showing us different attractions that he didn’t want us to miss. He is quite generous with his time and very passionate about Quito. Even though the ride was about three hours in each direction, it definitely didn’t feel that long and I would highly recommend going to see the crater with Felipe. We also visited the Middle of the Earth with him on a different day, and he was our airport transportation as well. I highly recommend Felipe for all of your transportation and tour needs in Quito.
The tour was great! Felipe picked us up in the morning and took us for a very nice breakfast. We continued towards Quilotoa via Tigua and on the the way Felipe explained both the area's culture and history as well as the vegetation and geography to us. He pointed out interesting sites and in general was giving us interesting information during the entire drive (but made sure to pause when one of us had fallen asleep!). He also gave us good tips for the remainder of our stay in Quito. He also balanced the time spent having ab ice cream or lunch with more strenuous activities.
The panoramic view of the lagoon is amazing. A tip for future travelers is to wear light but warm clothes. The guide knows the place very well and perfect places fot photos, also, the guide manages groups with children very well and he knows strategic sites for meal.
Take this tour to Lake Quilotoa, it was an exceptional experience, the guide had a lot of experience, the very quiet trip and the excellent food there was a lot of variety, I knew spectacular places. I totally recommend this trip with Felipe as a guide.
Excelent sightseeing of the lagoon with great explanations, comfortable and safe travel from Quito. Totally recommended.
