La mattina presto ci dirigiamo verso il sud della città attraverso il Viale dei Vulcani, così chiamato perché, se il tempo lo permette, potremo osservare colline e vulcani come Pasochoa, Corazón, Ilinizas tra gli altri fino a raggiungere il Parco Nazionale Cotopaxi, dove visiteremo il Centro di Interpretazione, qui la nostra guida spiegherà e risponderà a tutte le vostre domande sul vulcano attivo più alto del mondo.
Continuiamo a visitare la Laguna di Limpiopungo e facciamo un'interessante passeggiata per osservare uccelli e piante che si sono adattate a questi climi freddi. Sulla via del ritorno il nostro trasporto ti aspetterà per visitare una piantagione di rose e vedere come vengono prodotti i migliori fiori del mondo.
Alla fine di questa colorata sosta, la nostra guida suggerirà i siti e concederà il tempo per il pranzo. Nel pomeriggio ritorno a Quito e la nostra guida vi lascerà al vostro hotel.

The experience of visiting Cotopaxi and the Rose production tour was good. The only problem was our reservation stated that the pickup would be at 7:30. However, our guide showed up at 8:00. He stated that he was told to be at the hotel at that time. We have had previous messages via What’s App regarding pick up time or any updates which did not occur today.
Rose Tour was brilliant, guide was asleep all the on way back after lunch all the way back to the City. Cotopaxi walk around the lagoon was ok but not what we expected (seemigly other side gives full view when weather not too bad.)

The guide and driver were very informative and punctual. On the way to Cotopaxi we stopped at view points and learned about the volcanos which surround Quito. We did in fact book the incorrect tour (we hoped to hike to the glacier which wasn't this tour). The guide facilitated the change without issue, organising local guides to take us to the refuge in a 4x4. *Do be aware that this tour is to the Cotopaxi Laguna and not above.* We were very happy and would certainly use this company again!
Visiting cotopaxi is impressive but you need to be lucky to see the mountain not too covered with clouds. Wind also plays its part and can be strong. There are many trails in the park so you don't have to climb too high. There are a few haciendas in the park with awesome views.
